Chihuahua Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sophie is a 9 year old Chihuahua mix who lost her home when her senior owner passed away. She is now desperately in need of a forever home. This cutie is a sweet little girl who loves, loves, loves to cuddle with her people. She's fairly low energy and would love to live with another senior who can take her on short walks each day and then nap with her on the couch in the afternoon. Sophie has never lived with kids but the young ones she has met made her a bit nervous; so 13 and up only please. Sophie is good with other dogs and has lived her entire life with a Pug. We are unsure of how she would be with cats; ... (Read More)but she is pretty easy going so with the proper introductions we think she would be fine. This lovely little girls original Dad did right by her and made sure she was house trained, walked well on a leash and knew her basic commands. However Sophie is always eager to please you so she'd be happy to learn other stuff if you want her to. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-21-00242Smitty (male)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Smitty is a Yorkie Mix with a huge heart in a tiny little body; this boy weighs in at only 3 %BD pounds; inbreeding have made him into a 'teacup Yorkie'. At 7 years old he has already known more than one home and Fuzzy Pawz took him in knowing that we can find that special home who can care for such a special boy. This kid likes every single person he meets; he is soft, gentle and loves to be with people; to sit beside them, or even snuggle in bed. If people are not in rest mode he always finds a soft place to get comfy and will go in his crate to rest if you want him to. Smitty loves to be cradled in your ... (Read More)arms and oh boy does he love belly rubs! He does whine when he is feeling unsecure; but it doesn't last long. He seems to fit in with well behaved, non-threatening dogs of any size, and cats too. And while he is great with other dogs he will need to be around only soft, gentle dogs that will consider his size. Smitty is house trained however he will need let out frequently throughout the day as his bladder is so tiny he can't hold it long. (He'd be a good dog to litterbox train). Supervision is recommended outside, as he is so small he could get taken by a large bird of prey. He knows the word no, and stops what he is doing. He is very smart and pays attention to his surroundings and watches for your cues. Please keep in mind that due to Smitty's size we require no kids under the age of 15 be in the home; this boy is fragile. Fuzzy Pawz recently had this boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and got him a dental If you think you are good enough to be Smitty's forever family, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $250 adoption fee for Smitty (Less)

FOSTER LOCATION: Mt. Home, ID Bo is the cutest 7 year old cat we have seen in a long time and we are thrilled he is part of the Fuzzy Pawz family. Being able to place this cutie patooti in an amazing forever home will make our year. Bo is a very friendly kitty who is great with both adults and kids. He is very gentle and patient with little ones and is currently living with a 3 year old. He also gets along well with other cats and dogs; this boy is the whole package and then some! He is very mellow and likes to do his own thing most of the time. When he is ready for affection he will find his way to your lap! He is an easy going ... Rottweiler Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Foster Location: Salt Lake City, UT Blaze is a 20 month old male Rottweiler mix that came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his family was no longer able to care for him. Blaze is a handsome boy with brindle coloring on his legs and a cute little blaze of white up his chest and onto his face. This is one big lovable puppy! This tall, dark and handsome boy is very sweet goofy and rambunctious and is just a ton of fun to be around. He has been well socialized and loves everyone he meets. Blaze has been around children of all sizes and is very good with them. However, if everyone is amped up and crazy, he will feed off of that, so he will ... (Read More)require supervision around smaller children. He also tends to jump up on people when he is excited and can easily knock small kids over. This boy doesn't know much yet - only the sit command and isn't great on leash but he is super smart and would love to take an obedience class with his family. A puppy class would be a ton of fun for him and for his new family and it is a great way to bond. Blaze will dig holes when he is bored in the backyard so exercise is going to be key in this boy's life. Take him hiking, running, for long walks and teach him a few things and he will no longer do this. Blaze is housetrained and knows how to use a dog door. He is also crate trained. He rides well in a vehicle. He lives in a house with other dogs of all sizes and gets along great with them. He is full of energy and wants to play so may be overwhelming for a small or senior dog. He also lives with cats and will chase them every now and then but does not harm them%BD'%BD|.again just a puppy. Blaze is neutered, current on all vaccinations, and microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-07-00409Misty (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Itty bitty kitty Misty is a 2 year old petite grey tabby who is a love! This sweet girl was turned over to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her family moved and could not take her with them. This lovely girl is sweet as can be and will head butt you when she wants attention - it's adorable. While she's not much of a fan of you holding her she loves to lie with you and cuddle. If you are looking for a cat to cuddle with when you read or watch tv she is your girl. Be forewarned though that if she wants your attention and you ignore her to long she can and just may jump from the floor up onto your shoulder just to make ... (Read More)sure you know she wants you. Misty would be most comfortable in a home with no children or at least kids over 10 as she has never lived with any. She is great with other cats and has lived with 6 others in her previous home. We are unsure how she is with dogs as she has never been around them. Misty is litter box trained and is healthy; but does have one eye the weeps. It started after she had an ear polyp removed and no one can figure out why it does this. It doesn't hurt her and doesn't need any attention it just runs sometimes. She has no bad habits that we know of but will require a good scratching post or she will find one herself. Misty is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-06-07-00303Satchmo (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Hip Dysplasia

FOSTER LOCATION: Kuna, ID Satchmo is one amazing boy; this guy is 5 years old and a Poodle/Lab/Chesapeake mix! Satchmo came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after finding himself in a local shelter when his owner was deployed overseas. This guy is so well behaved - good with kids, other dogs (no cats please), is crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, lay down'|). He loves going for car rides, hikes, jogging and being in the water. Not sure what else you could want in a dog. Satchmo is a great mix of play and easy going. He is the kind of dog that loves to learn and be engaged with his humans; he needs to be a ... (Read More)part of their entire lives. He will need a home with kids that understand that bigger dogs can knock them over and that know not to pull tails, ears (over age 5 is good). Satchmo does have bilateral hip dysplasia despite the fact that he is not currently showing any symptoms - he is not in pain, does not limp, it doesn't slow him down in the least. He will however eventually start to show signs (we'd guess in a few years) and will need FHO surgery to repair. For now keep him active without harsh physical activity (running is good but not on concrete) and he will stay healthy. Please note that Satchmo was a matted mess and had to be shaved, he has a Poodle type coat and will need regular grooming. This boy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and weighs around 55 pounds. Lily is smart, funny, loyal and super lovely. She comes when you call her name! She has a very calm personality, but is playful. This lovely girl is good with other cats but needs a home without dogs - she learned to fear dogs in her first home when they would corner her in play. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-25-00297Robo (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, FIV

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID Robo is a lovely 3 year-old domestic shorthair with gray and black tiger markings and stunning green eyes. This wonderful boy was in the shelter since October and, while they all loved his handsome face, the cattery staff wanted to see him in his forever home so they asked Fuzzy Pawz to take him into foster to see if we could help out. Now settled nicely in his foster home Robo is continuing to show his wondrous side. This boy is just as sweet as can be and is such a joy to be around. He loves to be with his people and 'help' his foster mom while she works (i.e. lay on her papers/keyboard). We asked his ... (Read More)care givers at the shelter to give us some notes on him and we loved their responses so much we thought we'd just share them with you: - He gives kisses and thinks love bites and bunny kicks to be affectionate. - He will eat feathers loves catnip and being center of attention i.e. The issues foster parent is having with the 'helping' lol - He's chatty in the morning and follows you around and investigates his kingdom and loves chin rubs and he's perfect Robo is a healthy boy who is suddenly tested positive for FIV after having been in the shelter for months. We are unsure if he actually has the FIV virus or if the test is a false/positive (which can occur after cats are vaccinated for FIV). That being said please don't let the FIV diagnosis bother you. The primary mode of transmission to other cats is through bite wounds. Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading FIV. We believe that Robo would be okay with cat friendly dogs, would do okay with a calm female cat in his household - remembering that proper introductions into the household must be done. Robo would love to have kids over 10 in his household and of course a lap or two to cuddle in! He is very social with people and needs to be a part of the family. If you are looking for a new love in your life Robo is your boy! Robo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-13-00404Meika (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meika is three years old, is small-medium in size, and has black and white medium-long fur in a tuxedo pattern This lovely girl is sweet, a little bit shy and quite the lover. For instance she loves feeding time and she becomes adorably vocal when she's ready to eat. She is very shy and will likely hide for a while upon being adopted, but once she warms up she is the sweetest girl. She loves to take it easy and cuddle; once she gets comfortable, her loud purr and drizzle of drool are undeniable. She loves to sit by the window and watch for squirrels and birds. She has grown up with three dogs (two golden ... (Read More)retrievers and a toy poodle) so she is used to them, though she usually hides when they're being rambunctious. She sometimes plays with them by pawing as they walk by, but she generally keeps to herself. When she is feeling playful she will bat things around the floor or go for a random sprint across the house. Meika prefers to sit on a lap all day to give and receive love. That being said she would be most comfortable in a calm, stable environment with no children. She would be okay in a home calm dogs that ignored cats and with older kids; but would probably take much longer to become comfortable and would hide much more often. We are unsure about how she would do with other cats, but it is possible she would be fine with plenty of time to adjust and a proper introduction. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-09-00399Jack Jack (male)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOATION: Twin Falls, ID Jack Jack is growing up! This little Terrier mix masquerades as your average, run-of-the-mill puppy but he is ACTUALLY quite incredible. This little ball of energy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after being dumped at a local shelter. He thankfully pulled through Parvo and has gained back most of the weight he lost and is one healthy, happy puppy. Now approximately 6 months old and around 11 pounds, this spry guy is learning his manners. He is mostly potty trained and knows how to use a puppy bell and dog door when he needs them. Jack Jack is still tempted to sprint through open doors but he is working on recall ... (Read More)and is doing really well. He receives many compliments in public thanks to his easy-going acceptance of new situations and gregarious attitude. Jack Jack is a very intelligent terrier pup and picks up training quickly-- an attribute we are grateful for because it makes his energy much easier to manage! He has great focus on his human, which makes training easier. His focus can wander since he is very curious and enthusiastic, but this could be directed into sports such as Barn Hunt or some type of agility. He adores going on walks and would gladly take extended jaunts if his new family is particularly active. Regular exercise will help him to stay calm and out of mischief! He is incredibly affectionate as well. He snuggles close, loves to nap on your lap (after his walk, of course), and greets people with enthusiasm. His foster mom thinks he would make an excellent therapy dog! Jack Jack sleeps on the bed in his foster home most nights but will also sleep on a dog pillow on the floor. He enjoys snuggling with his foster sister-dogs as well. Jack Jack will need further training to help him navigate life more successfully and bond with his new family; training is a great way to make a dog an integrated part of his human family. He would make an excellent addition to a home with existing dogs who like to play but would also be happy as an only dog for someone who is not gone for extended periods. Jack Jack loves car rides, loves the vet, gets excited for bath time, and is so ready to meet his forever family! Jack is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. If are you looking for a sweet, active and ready to go companion Jack Jack might just be your boy. Keep in mind that he is a puppy and all puppies are work; he will need continued training, patience and love. Cairn    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise ID Pixie is a 10 year old purebred Cairn Terrier who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her human mom had to move into a nursing home where she could no longer have this bundle of joy. Pixie is an amazing dog; she is partially blind but she's full blast, not afraid of anything and always ready to go. She sometimes bumps into things but never fails to be very adventurous and happy to be wherever you are. Any new person is someone to try to get pets from and any new dog is someone to try to play with. She loves to play with dogs big and small. She loves chasing anything that buzzes by her. When it's sunny outside she ... (Read More)loves to sunbathe. She loves cuddling on the couch. She doesn't panic when left alone and she's good in a crate. She rides well in the car. She loves the wind from AC and heater vents. Growing old comes with some pains but you can't tell by looking at her. Over the past few months that she has been with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue she has gone through a lot (she had most of her teeth removed and had stones surgically removed from her bladder) and she's never given up; tail wagging even as she was just leaving the vet. Now she's back in good health and looking for her forever home. Because of the eye troubles she does require daily eye drops twice a day; the drops aren't bad in price and she is happy to allow you to put the drops in because it means you are touching her. She is also on Prion (cheap) for her bladder and takes it like a champ. Pixie is good with other dogs and would do best with another dog in the house that she can follow around. She would do best with no cats in her home and no kids under 15 please. She would love to live in a home where someone is home most of the time. Happy go lucky Pixie makes even the rough parts of life look easy. German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sage is a German Shepherd/Samoyed mix to the best of our guessing ability; she is about 6 years old and she has had a rough life up to the point where she came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. This super sweet girl is gentle and has a very soft personality. She is shy and very reserved and will keep her distance with strangers until she feels comfortable with them. She needs time to warm up to new people but if you are willing to give her a bit she will prove to be totally worth it and loyal to a fault. Sage is also smart and easy to live with. She is crate trained and will go in with the simple command of 'go to bed'. ... (Read More) Sage is dog door trained and walks great on a lead! She is not a digger, chewer or jumper! She stays off of furniture unless she is invited and has shown no signs of sleeping on the bed with her foster person. She rides great in the car and it very quiet unless something startles her in the backyard. Good with other dogs; doing great with both the senior and younger dog in her foster home. Though dogs that are pushy overwhelm her and she will keep her distance. We do know that Sage is not good with cats and that she has killed chickens in the past. Sage was pretty sick when we took her in and it was a long road to recovery but she pulled through with flying colors. To keep her healthy and strong she will need a good healthly diet (grain free and salmon protein), regular exercise and remember she has a double coat so will need regular brushing. This beauty would do well with adults who will get her out and about, hikes would be fine but Sage is also happy with just a good daily walk. We do require no kids in Sages home under the age of 15 due to her being so shy. A quieter calm home environment would be best; but we want people for her that will continue to get her out and about to help break her out of her shyness.     FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Allie has had a rough go in life and it seems it's not over yet. Found living on the streets in Emmet 3 years ago Allie was terrified of everything and everyone. Her finder spent 8 months working with her and gaining her trust; now sadly Allie is in need of another new home. Allie is now about 8 years old and a stunning black/orange Tortie who is in need of a calm/quiet home with people who have the patience to let her warm up to them. Rescue Me ID: 16-03-07-00315Penny (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Penny is a 2.5 year old, 50 pound, red and white female Pointer mixed who sadly is looking for a new home because her family does not have the financial resources and the set schedule to care for her any longer. You see sweet Penny with the heart of gold gets seizures. In October of 2015 Penny was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (probably genetic, no underlying cause). She is currently on Phenobarbital twice a day to control her seizures. They happen about 1-2 times a month. Within 15 minutes of having a seizure, Penny is back to her normal, cheerful self. She has not ... (Read More)displayed any side effects from the Phenobarbital and the vet says she may go on to live a normal life with the exception of occasional seizures. Penny is very good about taking her medication and thinks it's a treat. Currently Penny is having to visit the vet after a seizure so the vet can evaluate her medication and change her dosage of pheno. Her family was spending about $150 a month on vet visits and medication(medication $60, rest is bloodwork); once the correct dose can be found these costs will drop but she will need to see a vet on a regular basis. Penny will need a family with a fairly set routine who can administer her pills on a set schedule (this will also help regulate her medication). All of that being said Penny is totally worth it! She is one amazing dog with a TON to give back to her people. She does great with everyone she meets; she loves kids and is even very gentle with babies. She will happily rough house with older kids if allowed, but she is smart enough to know when she shouldn't. She reads people really well. Penny loves to meet new people; she wants pets from everyone and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up to her family. If you are looking for a happy go-lucky, greeter at your front door (or anywhere for that matter) Penny is your girl. Penny is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, shake, fetch, and she'll dance with you!). She loves to get in the car or truck to go on adventures, where she stays close and checks in often. Penny does well in the car on long trips. She loves to play all day with other dogs. She has only been around cats a couple of times but didn't seem too interested in chasing them. She would likely try to initiate play, so only dog savvy cats please! This lovely girl has a high energy level and needs a lot of exercise. She has been an excellent running partner and happily goes on runs as long as 30 miles. She's great on and off-leash, and nearly explodes with excitement when she sees her leash. If you are looking for an enthusiastic walking/running partner, she's perfect. Overall, she is a big sweetheart. Penny is a lovely girl with a lot to offer a family that is looking for a kid friendly, happy, active girl. Please don't let her seizures scare you off; we promise she is totally worth it. If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $40 adoption fee for Penny (Less)

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meet Sammy! Sammy is a 9 year old Maltese/Poodle mix who is in need of a loving forever home. Don't let this guy's age fool you! You'd never know he's 9! He's a very active boy who would like to be in a home where he can go on daily walks and continue with his training. He's a smart guy and learns things quickly. He would enjoy another dog to play with, and while he doesn't really know yet how to play nicely, he's learning. He just tries to be dominant, but he gets along very well with the dogs in his foster home as well as the cats. He may try to chase a cat that runs away, but with a firm no this behavior is ... (Read More)easily stopped. Sammy came to Fuzzy Pawz with some pretty bad behaviors; mainly he liked to use his teeth on people to stop them from doing what he didn't like (such as putting on a leash or walking away from him when he wanted attention). This naughty behavior led Sammy to injure his 86 year old original owner's hand and she had to give him up. So while in foster care Sammy has been working on un-learning this behavior; he has been showing a lot of improvement and self-control. Continued training and trust building will be very important. Positive reinforcement only methods are especially important! Because of his behavior issue, he should go to a home with no children. This little guy has a ton of potential with dedicated owners; he simply was allowed to do what he pleased, when he pleased from the time he was a puppy (so 9 years of someone allowing him to be naughty!) This little guy should go to an active home. He loves to play with his people and be very goofy and entertaining; he really is a ton of fun. He would learn some tricks easily and would really enjoy the attention that it brings. When he's been cooped up inside he will pull on the leash, so he should have some leash training as well. He's also house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside, but he does mark inside if not watched and kept on a regular schedule; again this behavior is one that can and should be worked on. Sammy's not dumb, just used to doing what he wants; he's eager to learn. Sammy's coat and ears can get matted, so he will need to have regular brushing to keep it beautiful. This is just an adorable little boy, whose personality makes him even cuter! If you can offer this boy a loving home with structure and rules please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Sammy has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $100 adoption fee for Sammy. (Less)
