Rescue Me ID: 17-09-21-00329Mac (male)

Scottish Terrier    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Cuteness ALERT!!! Good lord is Mac the cutest boy in Boise? We think so. This 11 year old Scottie came to Fuzzy Pawz when his owner could no longer care for him; their loss our gain. Within an hour of Mac being in his foster home his foster mom sent a text saying 'He is one COOL dog!!!' He is very sweet, mellow, calm and just an all-around easy going guy. Mac has great social skills with both humans and animals and he'd be great for most any household. He loves teenagers especially and had a grand time at a teen girls sleep over recently; he couldn't decide who to snuggle with first so he gave everyone a ... (Read More)turn. Mac is great with other dogs and we think he'd be fine with cats. He is slowly losing his eyesight due to age so a young puppy or kitten with fast movements might not be the best fit. Sorry no kids under 10 for this same reason. He is house trained but will need to be let out on a regular schedule to make sure he doesn't have any accidents in the house (remember his bladder isn't that big). He knows how to sit on command but not much else. He is good on leash and does enjoy going for walks. We'd love to see Mac go to a home where he can live out his golden years in the arms of someone who enjoys cuddling. Someone who has lots of time and love to give this boy. Mac, neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $125.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-21-00291Daisy (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Little Miss Daisy, a lovable scamp, is looking for a place to land with someone who will let her sit next to them, take her places in the car or on the leash, and buy her lots of squeaky plush toys. Miss Daisy is a Chihuahua mix, about seven-years-old, and has been without a home for quite some time! She spent several months in a shelter in eastern Idaho, and has been in a Fuzzy Pawz foster home for about a month getting much needed veterinary care. A very bad knee cap issue (grade 3 luxate patella) needed surgical repair, a terrible ear infection was making her crazy, and to top it off, she caught a nasty case ... (Read More)of kennel cough. But all is well now. Infection and cough are gone, and the leg is healing very nicely. Only the shaved spot on her leg and hip and a bit of a limp remain to remind us of her trauma. And both reminders should be gone soon. Miss Daisy wants to give attention, and get attention, and will do well in a home with someone who wants a dog that will be very close and loving. She is a cuddler! While not terribly active, she does bounce around chasing her toys, and leaps on and off the furniture. She loves to sleep on the back of the couch or on the ottoman in front of her person if she can't lay next to them! While Daisy is an absolute love we do require no kids under 7 in her new home. Miss Daisy is a small dog, about 12 pounds. She is very friendly, but can be a little territorial about her food and toys when she first meets a new dog. She quickly grows out of that though, once she is comfortable with her surroundings and house mates. She is not much of a barker, unless a stranger comes in the house, and even then, quickly quiets down. Miss Daisy is fairly good at coming when called, but has not been tested in the big outside world with lots of distractions. She appears to have had little obedience training, not knowing what sit, stay, down, or off means, but clearly is well socialized to people and other dogs. She walks quite well on the leash, even with two other dogs in tandem. She loves treats, so she's very responsive to positive rewards. We don't know how she is with cats or other small animals. She joins the other dogs in her foster home chasing the squirrels and doves, but she doesn't seem to have her heart in it other than to do what they are doing! Miss Daisy is house trained to a pet door and she will stand by the door to go outside to potty; if you don't notice her standing by the door to go outside, she may have an accident. Regular outings take care of that; we haven't had an accident during the day in quite some time even with the pet door latched. She is quite bright! She has been sleeping in a crate in her foster home, though, as if she gets up at night and no one hears, and if she can't get outside on her own, she will pee on the floor. But hey, when you gotta go, you gotta go and a regular potty schedule will take care of this if you don't have a pet door. She would rather sleep in bed with her human, burrowing under the covers; she really is the cutest little girl. Little Miss Daisy is an all-around great little girl and she will make someone an amazing companion. Daisy is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $75.00. If you feel you offer this great little girl the great home she deserves please fill out an application at: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-12-00185Chrissy (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Chrissy is a 2 year old 30lb mix (shepherd + lab + something smaller?) who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue from a local shelter. Chrissy originally came to Idaho from Texas with a case of heartworm; a bottle cap in her stomach and a healthy fear of humans. Treatment for the heartworm; surgery to remove the bottle cap and a lot of time/love/patience and Chrissy is ready to find her forever home. Sadly Chrissy is still very unsure of people; but we know that her staying in foster care is not going to help her grow and she needs a family of her own that will help with that. She has made decent progress in her ... (Read More)foster home but will still routinely seek the safety of a corner behind furniture or inside her crate when she gets overwhelmed. This little girl has a huge heart that is just waiting for the right person to unlock it. Chrissy must go to a home with a confident, friendly dog. In her foster home, she closely watches the resident dog for guidance. If the foster mom is petting the resident dog, Chrissy will come close for affection. If the resident dog takes a treat, then Chrissy will as well. She does well on hikes and enjoys her walks; she will run if she sees the leash but will soon stop and sit to be leashed. She is calm and relaxed out in the yard so a yard with at least a 6' fence is a must for her. She is housetrained and crate-trained; she is trustworthy to be left loose in the home when her people leave. Her adopter must be extremely calm and patient, willing to give Chrissy space and time to trust. She will need a family that can give her a routine and consistency in her life. Chrissy has the potential to become a loyal, loving dog but will need to find the perfect home to achieve that. We know from watching her grow while she has been with us that in the right home Chrissy will thrive. Chrissy is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $50.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-08-00222Tito (male)

Catahoula Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Tito came to Fuzzy Pawz from Texas, where he grew up with his siblings as a bottle baby. He is a sweet and sensitive dog, and is still learning abou the world we live in. Tito is 6 months old and our best guess is that he is a Catahoula/Lab mix. He will need a quiet home, but one that will include him in lots of activities and help expand his world and experiences. He can be timid at first, both with people and new things, but he quickly warms up and will be your shadow. We'd love to see him in a home with kids over 10 that will teach him about hiking in the foothills, camping and life in the city. Tito is ... (Read More)learning about leashes, walks, stairs, and lots of other things and making great strides daily. He wants nothing more than the people he trusts to be by his side and would prefer to be a lap dog. He may get to big for that, but we don't think that will stop him from trying. He is still learning his manners and obedienceČ'Ř|he is a puppy after all! A puppy class would be an awesome way for him to learn some confidence and bond with his new family. This cutie is good with dogs and cats; his new home should have another confident, easy going dog to show him the ropes and help build up his confidence. If left on his own, he may engage in unsavory behavior such as barking and digging. He is sensitive to loud noises, scolding, and other 'scary' sounds - as with all of our dog's positive training methods only for this boy; that means break out the treats, the cuddles and the praise! Tito is house trained, crate trained and rides wonderfully in the car! Tito is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $150.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-09-08-00190Frida (female)

Shih Tzu Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind, Deaf

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet little Frida was found in a wooded area lost and alone in the McCall area in the middle of August, hot, hungry and confused. When no one claimed her Fuzzy Pawz stepped in and placed her in a foster home as a shelter is no place for this lovely older girl. At around 10 years old Frida is mostly blind and deaf and her teeth were horribly rotten. Now after a dental to remove most of her teeth, some TLC and food she is ready to find her forever home. Frida adapts pretty well to a new environment; it takes her a few days of bumping into things to learn the lay of the land but once she gets to know her ... (Read More)environment you would not even know she is sight challenged as she navigates around known obstacles very well. Stairs can be a problem and a danger for her going down, so doggie/baby gates will be a must if there are stairs. She acts as though she can see some light and perhaps some movement and nighttime is when she has the most problem in areas not well lighted. A home where things are not moved around a lot with no children would be best for her. She appears to be able to hear a little bit as her ears have perked up a few times at high pitched sounds such as the chime signal on the washer and dryer at her foster home. She is not fully house trained yet but with continued work that should not take much longer but you will need to be diligent until she is. We believe this has mostly to do with the lack of routine and her knowing her surroundings. The only time she barks is when she is ready to be released from her crate in the morning. She loves to go for walks on a leash where she has so much freedom and space to walk and you will be surprised at the brisk pace she can keep up. Her senior blood work came back clean; so she is healthy but does have a few warts on her that do not need to be removed. Frida is just the sweetest girl; she loves to sit on your lap and gives sweet little kisses. She makes a lovely little companion who is pretty easy to care for. If you are looking for a soft, gentle and loving girl than Frida would be a great fit! She will need a family that can give her a routine and consistency in her life. Frida is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $150.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-08-17-00182Saki (male)

Siamese    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise ID Saki is 1 year old, Flame Point Siamese, who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his owners could no longer care for him. Saki loves loves everyone that comes through the house door, but he seems to be like men more than women. He is unsure about children but he is very curious, we would suggest kids over 5. Saki answers to his name or his nickname Noodle; he is eager and willing to do what his people want so we think he could easily be trained to do tricks. As a typical Siamese, he is very talkative but only when he wants something, mainly attention. And he is fairly high energy. He will need a family that will ... (Read More)play with him on a regular basis, can supply good toys and climbing towers for him to burn off energy on. Saki is great with cats; he wants to play and cuddle with them as much as he does with his people. If there is another cat in his home they will need to be very social. He has not been around dogs but we think he'd do fine with one that is very cat friendly; this boy has no fear so a dog that will put up with Saki's affection would be best.     FOSTER LOCATION: Eagle ID Joplin is a little bit shy but oh so cute. Born around 4/4/2017t this little one came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after being hit by a car. We had her leg fixed surgically and gave her time to recover; she is now more than ready to find a loving family all of her own. Joplin may be a bit shy at first but once you cuddle her close she will be yours forever. She would do better in a home that is a bit quieter with no kids under the age of 10. Sir Oreo came to Fuzzy Pawz when his owner was no longer able to care for him. A sweet senior (he's 10) should never end up in a shelter so Fuzzy Pawz made room for him in their foster program.     FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Cutie is just that a slightly rotund adorable girl with a personality to match. This 7 year old girl came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter because she had an upper respiratory infection; we didn't want her to make the other cats at the shelter sick so we put her in foster care. A sweet, gentle girl that likes to be pet, cuddle on your lap and just hang out makes Cutie the perfect companion for most any household. She is still skittish sometimes around new people and doesn't like to be picked up, or walk on a leash. Each month she has made great strides, and with ... (Read More)patience and love, she should be able to overcome her fears given some time and a great loving home. Because she is skittish and unsure, she'll need to be in a home without children under 15. She is the sweetest and most loving dog and needs a home that will love her for her quirky ways. Pip LOVES all dogs. She finds comfort with other dogs which helps with her human interactions. She'll need to be in a home with another dog that is as playful and fun loving as she is. Pip has been diagnosed with chronic dry eye and will need eye drops 2-3 times a day possibly for life. The drops cost about $30 a month, depending on where you buy them they could be a bit less.
