Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Oh poor Hobbs, he lost his boy Calvin and now seeks another! Hobbs is a 1 %BD year old who found himself lost and alone in Rexburg, ID; when no one came to claim him the shelter asked Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to place him in one of our foster homes. This boy is pretty awesome; he LOVES kids and is so easy to handle. He tolerates a lot and just really only cares about being with humans. He is quite the chatterbox; a gravely sound that is both cute and startling at the same time. He tends to be growly but it is talking not warning. He is fun and playful and loves cardboard boxes; we'd love for him to go to a home ... (Read More)with kids over 3. Hobbs is good with other cats but will not share a litterbox or food with other cats. We think he would be okay with dogs given time and the appropriate introduction. If you can be Hobbs new boy Calvin the please apply for him today: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Hobbs is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-18-00227Copper (male)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Copper is the cutest thing; helooks like a miniature Irish Wolfhound but best guess is Schnauzer/Heeler with a bit of Shih Tzu thrown in for good measure from his mom. He is about 11 months old and weighs in at about 33 pounds of wonderful, loving lap dog, who will likely grow a bit more as he ages. He knows 'sit' and 'down'. He might respond to 'leave it', but then again perhaps not he is after all just a puppy. He will come when called in the yard, but cannot be trusted to respond in the big world as he is still a puppy and is easily distracted. He is crate trained and will go in on 'kennel up' command most ... (Read More)of the time. He sleeps in his crate and considers it his den - a new home will need to continue with this and supply him a crate. Copper is house trained to use a bell hanging on the door to tell you he needs to go outside. He also uses a dog door very happily. He rides pretty well in a car, although should have a seat belt to keep him from moving around. This boy does have some Heeler in him and as such has a pretty high prey drive. He picks on the 5 pound Yorkie in his foster home so his new home will need with no small pets: dogs, cats, guineas, or any other prey type pets. He does great with dogs around 20 pounds and up; but again remember he is a puppy and tends to play rough. Copper will need an active family; he is fairly high energy and will need daily exercise; a run every day would be best. As an adolescent, Copper will chew your furniture, shoes, or anything else in range when bored (exercise people). Sturdy chew toys to work on (another reason to crate him when you are not home); a Kong filled with peanut butter, interactive toys will all help keep his mind and body busy. (Surprisingly, he loves soft stuffed toys too, and does not destroy them.) Copper is a strong, young dog, and should go to an adoptive home that can provide lots of structure and exercise. Copper is eager to please, smart as a whip and would LOVE to go to an obedience class. Copper is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $150.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-18-00209Zika (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Zika, currently responding to Z, is a 1 year old, 44 pound mix - possibly a combination of Siberian Husky and German Shepherd with a touch of Aussie, and, definitely, sweetness. Z would do best in an active household; are you an avid runner, biker, or hiker? She loves going on long walks and is learning how to walk nicely on a leash. Although she has a lot of energy, once that need is fulfilled, she will quietly lay nearby. She would love to have a playful dog friend to romp around with; a confident, friendly dog would be great. She hasn't been tested with cats, but she will likely chase them; so no ... (Read More)cats please. Z would do well with kids; she takes treats gently, hasn't jumped on people, and allows people to take toys and food from her. However, she does startle easily so children would need to be on the calm side and not under 10 please. Zika enjoys hanging out with her people, but she isn't a Velcro dog. She will happily explore the backyard, snooze in a separate room, or watch the neighborhood activities on her own. She hangs out in the office while her foster mom works and Z will gently rest her head on her mom's lap for some attention. Z is house trained and crate trained. At night, the crate door is left open and she may/may not choose to sleep inside. She is crated when no one is home because she has some separation anxiety. She is not recommended for an apartment because she barks and whines when left alone. She would benefit from and excel at basic obedience classes; she is smart, attentive, and isn't stubborn as some huskies can be. Do you think you can offer Z a loving, active home? If so, she will thank you a million times over with her adoring gazes, kisses, and loyalty. Zika is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100.00. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00374Sweetie (female)

Siberian Husky Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Sweetie is a 12 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter because come on Sweetie deserves to be spending her senior years in a home, not a shelter. This pretty girl is an easy keeper and is looking for a quieter home that she will happily share with other animals. She is good with most other dogs and we are told she is also fine with cats. She will however not put up with much nonsense form a hyper dog so we'd suggest a calmer quieter dog or no dog at all. She has nice house manners, is house trained and we haven't seen any bad habits from her yet. And she is smaller than ... (Read More)average weighing in at just 48 pounds! She can become a bit disoriented when out for walks, so a home with a fenced yard that she can safely hang out in would be ideal. Sweetie does pose a flight risk as she has been known to bolt out the front door or open fence gate. Sweetie can be fairly aloof with some people but when she clicks she clicks hard. She does seem to be more comfortable around women She recently had a full vet work up including x-rays and the only thing they found was some slight arthritis in her hind quarters. Due to her age we ask that no kids under 12; a calm quiet home environment would be best. Sweetie is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $50.00. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Nemo is an adorable little dog! He's got so much personality in such a small package. Nemo is an 10 year old Chihuahua/Min Pin mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz after finding himself in an Idaho shelter. This handsome boy is completely blind but he can still get around quite well without any help. He is curious and outgoing and gets along great using his other senses It will take him a few days to adjust to a new routine and place but once he does he has no fear in exploring and getting around on his own. When he can't find you or needs something he will chirp or bark. Nemo loves to go outside and wander in the ... (Read More)backyard so he will need a very secure fenced in backyard so he can safely be outside by himself. He loves to play with toys, get his belly rubbed and to take long cuddy naps. He is very good with other dogs and could not care less about cats; pretty sure this dog has never met a stranger either two or four legged. He would be a perfect dog for some looking for a cuddle companion, he loves to sleep on your lap or someone with older kids, since he is skittish of loud noises and fast movements. Nemo is a sweetheart and one great dog that deserves a warm, safe house with kind hands and a gentle heart. Nemo is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-11-00177KC (male)

Basenji Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID KC is a four-year-old Cattle Dog/Basenji/Chihuahua (best guess). He was one of 23 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Owyhee County by a local shelter. KC was one of the most scared of the bunch; the shelter knew that he needed out so Fuzzy Pawz offered to place KC in one of our foster homes. KC has been in a foster home for about 6 weeks learning how to be a dog and to trust. He is making steady progress but will need a very special home to continue his journey. KC is fearful but doesn't bite or snap. He flights and hides when he is uncomfortable, so slow and calm handling is a must. KC is scared of ... (Read More)loud noises and will bolt to escape the noise. He is scared of most new people but does seem to be more comfortable with women rather than men; he will get used to a man but it takes more time. KC needs a home where his humans are very anxiety-aware and have an abundance of patience. He needs a consistent and safe environment that can let his true loyal and cuddly personality shine. KC will likely take weeks to become comfortable in his new home, so a crate that's his 'safe space' is a must. He is affectionate when he feels secure, and will hang out next to you on the couch or in the backyard helping with gardening. Give him some time and we feel he will become your best little buddy. KC lives with three other dogs and 4 cats in his foster home, and they have him helped tremendously. A home with a happy-go-lucky, confident dog(s) is a must. He loves to chase and snuggle with his canine buddies; they will help him learn to trust and be more confident. KC will need to be on leash until he is used to any new environment; this includes in his new homes yard/indoors. He needs a secure yard, should never be left alone outside and requires constant supervision until he is settled. He is most comfortable in his crate when left alone inside, so his new owners should continue his crate training. KC doesn't know any commands at this time and we are working on his leash skills but he is 100% house trained! KC will bond to his new family given a bit of time but will need a home with no children (under 15) and someone willing and able to give him the time and reassurance he needs. You won't be sorry love, patience and gentle guidance and the sky is the limit for this lovely boy. KC is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $50.00. Chihuahua    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Large off balanced ears add to the quirky appeal of Muphy's already appealing face and personality. This adorable 5 year old Chihuahua came to Fuzzy Pawz after finding himself homeless on the streets of Sacramento; a quick trip on a plane to Idaho and Fuzzy Pawz scooped him up and placed him in a foster home. There is a hint of mischief in his eye and a zest for life; this boy is a dream and a lot of fun. A great combination of fun, playful and snuggle bug! He is great with children, other dogs and cats. Having lived with large furry foster siblings, he is no stranger to both their quirks and their company. ... (Read More)He adores playing outside with them, chasing and being chased, and engaging in robust games of tug-a-toy. Call him in for some cuddling and he is there in a heartbeat. To replenish his tiny batteries, he either stretches out in the sun like a cat or settles down on a lap for some snuggling and a snooze. Murphy lives to love and be loved, and his favorite place to be is by your side. Highly food motivated and eager to learn, he is both crate trained and a master kisser. Schnauzer Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Franklin Fluffertail is a sweet and gentle 7 year old schnauzer poodle mix. He is a charmer who will quickly steal your heart with his kind eyes and fluffy tail! He came to Fuzzy Pawz via a Texas transport to a local shelter and he's loving Idaho so far! He quickly adapted to his foster home and loves to follow his foster parents around begging for rubs. Franklin is a calm, gentle, easy going boy who would do well in most homes. However he does need a calm, quiet home with no kids under 15 While he is friendly and interested in other dogs, he doesn't do much playing and is much more interested in the ... (Read More)attention of humans. He would be fine in a home with another dog with a similar gentle and calm personality. He is very smart and quickly figured out how to use a doggy door and has had no accidents in the house. He loves slow walks where he can do a lot of sniffing. He also loves treats and makes very entertaining noises while eating. He has a heart murmur and seems to have limited hearing. His heart does not seem to bother him at this time and all we have seen is a calmer, quieter dog with no crazy antics. Because he does not respond to verbal commands it is best to not let him off leash- he is also very fast when he thinks he can get out of a door! Franklin will need regular grooming every 6 weeks or so - that curly Poodle hair can mat quickly. Franklin is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.00. Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID Molly is approximately 12 years old and we think she is a Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd mix. She got the size of a cattle dog, but the shape of an Australian Shepherd. She is very calm and relaxed in the house. As she is older she does enjoy a peaceful and calm environment. She isn't huge into chasing toys are balls, but she will happily deconstruct a toy if you give her one. She is very treat motivated. She does struggle with begging for food as she's obviously been rewarded many times over for it in the past, but with a little training and practice she could quickly be trained out of it! Molly is ... (Read More)very sweet and has a great personality. When you fill up her food bowl you will be rewarded with the cutest little 'happy hops' from her. She does enjoy getting out and walking as well as exploring the backyard. However, she is very much an indoor dog and does not want to spend very much time outside when it is cold. She does well with other dogs, yet she is a food stealer and will happily eat all other dog's food so free feeding her with other dogs in the house would not be a good idea. She works best with getting a set meal for breakfast and dinner. She will growl at another dog if she feels the dog is getting into her bubble, but is not aggressive with dogs. Molly and chickens are a no go! She will happily eat them given the chance! Molly knows basic obedience commands and does not chew on household items. She is the perfect house dog!
