Rescue Me ID: 16-07-21-00599Hank (male)

German Shepherd    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Hank is a 3yr old Shiloh Shepherd whose family found themselves in a position that they were no longer able to keep him. Fuzzy Pawz is determined to find Hank a people who will love him forever. This handsome guy is super smart is capable of learning most anything you want to teach him. Hank knows a few commands and is capable of learning many more. He knows 'sit' and 'kennel up', while 'stay' and 'lay down' are always hit and miss. His previous owner didn't have a lot of time to work with him. Up to this point Hank has been a mostly outside dog and we want more for him than that. The few times he has been ... (Read More)in the house there have been no 'accidents'. Hank needs and wants to be indoors and part of your family at all times. He loves to play fetch but plays with two balls, he likes to have one at all times. His favorite balls are the rubber Chuck It balls. Any other toys he will chew up pretty quickly, including tennis balls! Hank hasn't been around any other animals aside from dogs, he is generally shy but plays well once he gets to know them. If any other animal or person he doesn't know comes into the yard, he will let you know! He is really all bark and no bite, and is also very sensitive so don't be surprised if you hurt his feelings! He is good with kids and strangers and would do well in most homes. Hank developed EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency) which affects digestion and the absorption of nutrients about 10 months ago. Hank must have medicine with every meal. We feed him 3 cups twice a day and we spray down his food with water and then add PancrePlus which is a powder (cost is around $100 for a 3 1/2 month supply). You have to let it sit 15 to 20 minutes before letting him eat! As long as you follow his feeding protocol Hank is healthy and happy and EPI will not affect him. Hank is neutered and vaccinated. Rescue Me ID: 16-07-14-00460Bailey (male)

Dachshund    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Say hello to Bailey. He is a 10 year old, 19 pound, long haired dachshund. But don't let his age fool you. He still loves to go on walks, run around, and play with other dogs. This lovely boy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after his former guardian could no longer care for him. Bailey is one of the friendliest and gentle souls you will ever meet. When we first met Bailey he came waddling over with a happy tail in full wag. When we walked out to the car he hopped right in and jumped right onto his foster moms lap with the biggest doggie grin. Be warned that he has a goofy look that makes I very hard to not grin ... (Read More)right back at him! Due to cheap food and no routine dental maintenance Baily has almost no teeth left so his tongue hangs about an inch out of the side of his mouth 90% of the time. Bailey can really fulfill the needs of almost any household. He is great with kids, house trained, doesn't get car sick, and is fine in a crate when you're not home. As far as special needs go he does have a history of bladder stones. This can usually be counteracted by having him on a special diet and making sure he is drinking plenty of water though. Other than that he seems to be quite healthy. Bailey is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Bailey has also had senior blood work done and he is fit as a fiddle. Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Rebel is one stunning dog - this very handsome boy is 1 %BD years old and is a Lab/German Short-hair/Australian shepherd. His dad was a papered Pointer and passed along some good genes! Rebel comes already knowing some great things (Sit, Stay, and Down(Lay)) and would love to learn more. He is kennel trained, house trained and would be thrilled to have someone who would teach him more things - he is eager to please. This guy also walks well on leash; so well in fact that a young child walks him around his current neighborhood (supervised by an adult of course). He would make an amazing dog to camp, ... (Read More)hike, bike, jog with; he is very athletic and has energy to burn. Being an active dog he will need a household that is the same; a short %BD mile stroll is not going to cut it for this boy. His past owner took him running daily. Rebel is a great family dog and loves kids; he finds them a constant sort of amusement and he loves play time with them. Well he really loves the attention of pretty much anyone - he's very people social. A secure 6' fence is a must for Rebel and he should not be left alone out there if he is bored as he can jump a fence. Keep him active and entertained (puzzle toys outside are great) and he won't jump. Rebel is neutered, vaccinated If are you looking for a sweet, active and ready to go companion Rebel might just be your boy. Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Elijah is one of those animals who touches the heart and soul of everyone he meets. Often the first glance at him puts people off until they look again and see the bright, shining, peaceful soul that resides in the amazing cat. Elijah is about 7 years old and was found as a stray out in Emmett. He was in really bad shape with crusted over eyes, raw and bloody ears and he was thin as a rail. The finder called Fuzzy Pawz and asked us to help and how could we say no to this lost soul with such a strong will to live. Turns out Elijah had cancer that was eating away his ears (very common in white cats) and he had ... (Read More)damaged his eyes trying to scratch at his ears. Surgery, medication, lots of trips to the vet and of course good food and LOTS of love and Elijah is now cancer free, healthy, happy and just a love! Despite all this boy has been through he is just the happiest, most easy going cat you will meet. He's never met a stranger, he loves everyone - he knows they will pet him, cuddle him and give him treats. Elijah's favorite thing in the world is to sit in your lap and purr (and drool a little); he is just a love. He is gentle, has a soft personality and you can't help but smile when he looks at you with those trusting eyes. Elijah is good with other cats and we think he would be fine with cat friendly dogs with a proper introduction. This is one exceptional boy who will repay and family with many, many years of joy, happiness and kitty cuddles! You truly could not ask for a pet companion in your life. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Hi my name is Buttercup! I am a very nice girl I have had quite the life this far! Sadly because my original owners didn't care about me I found myself homeless and pregnant all before a year old. Lucky for me someone spotted me sitting on the fence trying to find food for myself. They scooped me up and took me to a Fuzzy Pawz Rescue volunteer knowing that FPR would help me and they did. I was pretty sick with an upper respiratory infection and VERY pregnant; they nursed me back to health and I had 5 beautiful babies. I was a phenomenal mommy, I even took on other babies and raised them as my own until they ... (Read More)were all old enough to find families of their own. Now it is my turn to find my forever family. I am not sure yet if I like other cats yet, I tolerate them but if they get too close to me I will swat them. I think it is because I was out on my own and they used to pick on me a lot! I'm pretty sure as I start to feel safe again that living with another cat or two would be perfectly fine; especially if my people do proper introductions! I've never been around dogs but again with a nice introduction and a bit of time if they are nice to me I think I can be nice to them. I am a very loving girl and just want to be a part of someone's family! I love lap time, laying in the sunshine and just hanging out with my people; I'd be happy to live in any family that will love me. I hope you will find it in your heart to adopt me. Dachshund    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Lady Bow is a 12 pound, 11 year-old, long-haired dachshund, and is the sweetest dog imaginable. She came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after she found herself in a local shelter when her human could no longer care for her. A shelter is no place for a Lady so she came to live in a foster home with Fuzzy Pawz. This lovely girl could not be any more loving; she wants to be in right beside her person to cuddle and be pet and she loves to give kisses. But she is not a pest, always demanding attention. And don't let her age discourage you. She is very active and happy go lucky. Lady Bow is house broken, is learning to use ... (Read More)the dog door, and walks fairly well on leash although she will pull a bit when first starting off. She loves to ride in the car and look out the window. Lady Bow is very treat motivated, so what she doesn't know already, she learns very quickly. She's already learned to sit nicely for her treat. The girl gets along very well with other dogs. We don't know about cats, although as calm is she is, she might be fine with a proper introduction. We also don't know about children, but since she never met a stranger, she would probably love them as long as they were respectful. Due to ladies age we will require no kids in the home under 5. Lady Bow has long, fine hair that will mat if not cared for. She needs regular brushing, and an occasional professional groom with a hair cut would be appropriate. She was very matted when she came to Fuzzy Pawz, so her hair is a little shorter now than it could be if you wanted it long and were willing to care for it. This tall, dark and handsome boy is very sweet goofy and rambunctious and is just a ton of fun to be around. He has been well socialized and loves everyone he meets. Blaze has been around children of all sizes and is very good with them. However, if everyone is amped up and crazy, he will feed off of that, so he will ... A puppy class would be a ton of fun for him and for his new family and it is a great way to bond.     FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Itty bitty kitty Misty is a 2 year old petite grey tabby who is a love! This sweet girl was turned over to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her family moved and could not take her with them. This lovely girl is sweet as can be and will head butt you when she wants attention - it's adorable. While she's not much of a fan of you holding her she loves to lie with you and cuddle. If you are looking for a cat to cuddle with when you read or watch tv she is your girl. Be forewarned though that if she wants your attention and you ignore her to long she can and just may jump from the floor up onto your shoulder just to make ... She is great with other cats and has lived with 6 others in her previous home. We are unsure how she is with dogs as she has never been around them. Misty is litter box trained and is healthy; but does have one eye the weeps. It started after she had an ear polyp removed and no one can figure out why it does this. (Read More)care givers at the shelter to give us some notes on him and we loved their responses so much we thought we'd just share them with you: - He gives kisses and thinks love bites and bunny kicks to be affectionate. - He will eat feathers loves catnip and being center of attention i.e. The issues foster parent is having with the 'helping' lol - He's chatty in the morning and follows you around and investigates his kingdom and loves chin rubs and he's perfect Robo is a healthy boy who is suddenly tested positive for FIV after having been in the shelter for months. We are unsure if he actually has the FIV virus or if the test is a false/positive (which can occur after cats are vaccinated for FIV). That being said please don't let the FIV diagnosis bother you. The primary mode of transmission to other cats is through bite wounds. Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading FIV. We believe that Robo would be okay with cat friendly dogs, would do okay with a calm female cat in his household - remembering that proper introductions into the household must be done. Robo would love to have kids over 10 in his household and of course a lap or two to cuddle in! He is very social with people and needs to be a part of the family. If you are looking for a new love in your life Robo is your boy! Robo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-13-00404Meika (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meika is three years old, is small-medium in size, and has black and white medium-long fur in a tuxedo pattern This lovely girl is sweet, a little bit shy and quite the lover. For instance she loves feeding time and she becomes adorably vocal when she's ready to eat. She is very shy and will likely hide for a while upon being adopted, but once she warms up she is the sweetest girl. She loves to take it easy and cuddle; once she gets comfortable, her loud purr and drizzle of drool are undeniable. She loves to sit by the window and watch for squirrels and birds. She has grown up with three dogs (two golden ... (Read More)retrievers and a toy poodle) so she is used to them, though she usually hides when they're being rambunctious. She sometimes plays with them by pawing as they walk by, but she generally keeps to herself. When she is feeling playful she will bat things around the floor or go for a random sprint across the house. Meika prefers to sit on a lap all day to give and receive love. That being said she would be most comfortable in a calm, stable environment with no children. She would be okay in a home calm dogs that ignored cats and with older kids; but would probably take much longer to become comfortable and would hide much more often. We are unsure about how she would do with other cats, but it is possible she would be fine with plenty of time to adjust and a proper introduction. Meika is spayed, vaccinated and in good health If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $20 adoption fee for Meika (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-02-00536Pixie (female)

Cairn    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise ID Pixie is a 10 year old purebred Cairn Terrier who came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her human mom had to move into a nursing home where she could no longer have this bundle of joy. Pixie is an amazing dog; she is partially blind but she's full blast, not afraid of anything and always ready to go. She sometimes bumps into things but never fails to be very adventurous and happy to be wherever you are. Any new person is someone to try to get pets from and any new dog is someone to try to play with. She loves to play with dogs big and small. She loves chasing anything that buzzes by her. When it's sunny outside she ... (Read More)loves to sunbathe. She loves cuddling on the couch. She doesn't panic when left alone and she's good in a crate. She rides well in the car. She loves the wind from AC and heater vents. Growing old comes with some pains but you can't tell by looking at her. Over the past few months that she has been with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue she has gone through a lot (she had most of her teeth removed and had stones surgically removed from her bladder) and she's never given up; tail wagging even as she was just leaving the vet. Now she's back in good health and looking for her forever home. Because of the eye troubles she does require daily eye drops twice a day; the drops aren't bad in price and she is happy to allow you to put the drops in because it means you are touching her. She is also on Prion (cheap) for her bladder and takes it like a champ. Pixie is good with other dogs and would do best with another dog in the house that she can follow around. She would do best with no cats in her home and no kids under 15 please. She would love to live in a home where someone is home most of the time. Happy go lucky Pixie makes even the rough parts of life look easy. If Pixie sounds like your perfect dog, fill out an application today at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and his foster parent will call you!! Pixie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $50 adoption fee for Pixie Make sure to check out the video of Pixie out for a walk: https://youtu.be/nqQLVBN44hM (Less)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Allie has had a rough go in life and it seems it's not over yet. Found living on the streets in Emmet 3 years ago Allie was terrified of everything and everyone. Her finder spent 8 months working with her and gaining her trust; now sadly Allie is in need of another new home. Allie is now about 8 years old and a stunning black/orange Tortie who is in need of a calm/quiet home with people who have the patience to let her warm up to them. She enjoys being pet and sitting with you on the couch but prefers if you let it be her choice and will get down when she is done. This pretty girl loves playing with her ... (Read More)toys and is currently living with 2 other cats; an ancient senior male who is mellow and a young male who wants to play all the time. She does very well with the senior male and enjoys his company but she is terrified of the high energy of the younger at. That being said Allie would be best in a home with either no other animals or senior ones who are happy just to co-exist. Rescue Me ID: 16-03-07-00315Penny (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Penny is a 2.5 year old, 50 pound, red and white female Pointer mixed who sadly is looking for a new home because her family does not have the financial resources and the set schedule to care for her any longer. You see sweet Penny with the heart of gold gets seizures. In October of 2015 Penny was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (probably genetic, no underlying cause). She is currently on Phenobarbital twice a day to control her seizures. They happen about 1-2 times a month. Within 15 minutes of having a seizure, Penny is back to her normal, cheerful self. She has not ... (Read More)displayed any side effects from the Phenobarbital and the vet says she may go on to live a normal life with the exception of occasional seizures. Penny is very good about taking her medication and thinks it's a treat. Currently Penny is having to visit the vet after a seizure so the vet can evaluate her medication and change her dosage of pheno. Her family was spending about $150 a month on vet visits and medication(medication $60, rest is bloodwork); once the correct dose can be found these costs will drop but she will need to see a vet on a regular basis. Penny will need a family with a fairly set routine who can administer her pills on a set schedule (this will also help regulate her medication). All of that being said Penny is totally worth it! She is one amazing dog with a TON to give back to her people. She does great with everyone she meets; she loves kids and is even very gentle with babies. She will happily rough house with older kids if allowed, but she is smart enough to know when she shouldn't. She reads people really well. Penny loves to meet new people; she wants pets from everyone and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up to her family. If you are looking for a happy go-lucky, greeter at your front door (or anywhere for that matter) Penny is your girl. Penny is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, shake, fetch, and she'll dance with you!). She loves to get in the car or truck to go on adventures, where she stays close and checks in often. Penny does well in the car on long trips. She loves to play all day with other dogs. She has only been around cats a couple of times but didn't seem too interested in chasing them. She would likely try to initiate play, so only dog savvy cats please! This lovely girl has a high energy level and needs a lot of exercise. She has been an excellent running partner and happily goes on runs as long as 30 miles. She's great on and off-leash, and nearly explodes with excitement when she sees her leash. If you are looking for an enthusiastic walking/running partner, she's perfect. Overall, she is a big sweetheart. Penny is a lovely girl with a lot to offer a family that is looking for a kid friendly, happy, active girl. Please don't let her seizures scare you off; we promise she is totally worth it. If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $40 adoption fee for Penny (Less)

Pomeranian Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID Bridget is a 11 year old Pomeranian/Schipperke mix who is just as sweet as can be. She is happy and ready to do what her people want to do. She loves her daily walks around the neighborhood and should be with someone who will take her out and about. She walks very nicely on a leash and is easy to handle. She enjoys a car ride and is very well behaved in the car; she just likes to be with her people doing what they are doing. She likes to be pet and cuddled but will to go to her crate when she wants some alone time. Bridget is easy going and playful and would do great in a home with seniors or children over ... (Read More)10. Bridget is fine with dogs of all sizes, but does better with only 1 other or none; she tends to get lost in the shuffle with too many animals around and becomes depressed if she doesn't get enough people time. We are unsure of cats but she is pretty easy going so with the right introduction we feel she would be fine. Bridget is a little ball of cuteness weighing in at 10 pounds with a calm and loving demeanor. She hasn't had much training but would likely train easily using treats and praise. A home with a doggie door or someone able to let her outside regularly would be helpful due to her having a very tiny bladder. She is also crate trained. This lovely little girl does have a long fluffy coat that will need regular grooming. Bridget has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. To meet Bridget please fill out an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40 (Less)
