American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

This is a courtesy posting only. Do not contact Fuzzy Pawz Rescue, contact information is below. Devo is a super sweet, loyal and wonderful dog that has the golden boy looks to match his personality. He is a beautiful 4 year old male pit bull that I rescued. I was at a friend's house and overheard teenagers talking about a pit bull that was going to be used as a bait dog. What else could I do but get involved, $50 later and a bit of fast talking and Devo came home with me. Unfortunately, I cannot keep him because my rental does not allow me to have 3 dogs. My land lady is aware of him being here and is aware that he is a rescue and only ... (Read More)here temporarily. Now I need to find him a forever home. He gets along great with my 2 very small dogs, and even at the park has shown no aggression to other dogs. Walks great on a leash. Loves to sleep in bed with me and sleeps thru the night and snores like a banshee, pretty cute, he also sleeps on his back with his 4 feet sticking straight up in the air. He has a ferocious bark which can be a little intimidating, but Devo is smart, energetic, fun, very strong, loyal and totally a love bug. He is NOT an outside dog and needs to go with someone that has a fenced in back yard. I would also suggest no small children (because of his strength and size) and ABSOLUTELY no cats. He has had some training, but really needs someone that is familiar with the breed, has a lot of patience, and knows what they are doing. Devo is completely potty trained. Devo does suffer from separation anxiety, and I am sure that is from being shuffled around so much. Any dog lover would be lucky to get a great dog like Devo. He needs a confident owner, one that will work with him on his manners, that has patience, and will be his forever home finally. Devo weighs in at 80 pounds, is in very good health, is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped To meet Devo please contact Tara: text at 208-703-9418 or email tyejoe@hotmail.com This is a courtesy posting only. Border Collie Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Once upon a time someone called me Bliyd (welsh pronunciation of 'wolf). I know, I know it's awful and it's not a name to be calling a handsome devil like me so I ditched those people and hooked up with this hot young thing in Jerome, ID who is part of Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. Now I call myself Dallas 'cause everything is bigger and better in Texas, gotta do what you can to impress the ladies and hang with the big boys. Excuse the grey hair and don't let it fool you, I'm younger than I look; I'm a Border Collie/Lab mix; about 7 years old and aged to perfection; you won't find none better looking than me. I'm an easy going chap who never met a ... (Read More)stranger whether they be human or animal; I say live and let live; let's all just get along. Heck I'm even partial to kids. My momma made sure I learned my house manners and how to walk well on a leash; I'm the perfect house mate! I do like to see what you are doing all the time just to make sure that things are runnin' proper on the home front; so I say 'pardon me ma'am now' when I end up under your feet. I'll go where you go and stay close to you outside, or by the t.v.; you know just in case you need me I do enjoy the great outdoors and like to mosey down the road aways if you have the time; but if not we can kick back and hang together. If you are looking for one fine companion I'm your man. I'm neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, and will be microchipped If you are looking for a new best friend to watch tv with or to take walks with please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40. **Dallas is eligible for our Pets for Patriots Program (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-14-00237Chinden (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chinden just might break your heart. FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet, shy Chinden came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when some lovely people found her abandoned at a motel. If she hadn't been crying no one would have ever found her. There was a break in the foundation to the maintenance building and Chinden had created a little den between the foundation and the hot water heater. Chinden is a sweet and gentle hearted girl who is a bit shut down and depressed at the moment. She spends much of her time cuddled in her favorite spot looking away from everyone in the room (you know, if I can't see you then surely you can't see me). However ... (Read More)despite this she is so even tempered and gentle that we can take her out of her hiding place and cuddle with her. She is craving affection and attention and if put her on your lap and pet under her chin her eyes relax and she settles right in. If you sit quietly in her room she will come out and explore. A steady, loving forever home will bring her back to her true loving self. She is a very quiet girl and is a total doll; sweet natured and even tempered! Chinden does not like dogs at all and will get a bit crazed at the sight of them; we are guessing she may have been attacked while she was out on her own. She will tolerate the other cat in foster care with her; she does not engage with him but does not go after him either; with a correct introduction into the home we think she would be fine with another cat. She uses her litter box perfectly and we have not seen her scratch on things that are not meant for her. This girl just had a trip to the vet and she is about 3 years old, in great health, has been spayed and vaccinated. Chinden would thrive in a quieter home where someone wanted a sweet, gentle companion; she just need someone to see how wonderful she is and she will pay it back 10 fold. If you are looking for a new best friend please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $10 adoption fee. **Chinden is eligible for our Pets for Patriots program - if you are a veteran let us know!     Good Golly Miss Molly - Hold onto your hats - this boy is a LOOKER! FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Wow - we don't even know what to say about this boy; words will never do him justice. Emmett loves everyone he meets; as far as he is concerned if you are going to pet him he will be your best buddy. He loves to head butt you, play with you and give love bites (he's very gentle). He has no cross words for anyone human or animal and is totally adorable when he rolls over on his back and practically BEGS you to pet him. We have found that Emmett really, really likes dogs and is good with other cats. He has gone so far to try to make ... Emmett us litter box trained and is declawed He is neutered and vaccinated and one healthy boy. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Looking for a cuddly buddy? FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID At 5 years old this 11 pound Chihuahua/Pekingese is the perfect age; old enough to have manners but young enough to still be super playful. Mitzi is a super loving girl who loves to held or lay very close and snuggle with you. A lap is a great thing and she likes to sleep with her human. She enjoys a long walk and is very playful either with her family or she will play with her toys by herself. This cutie is house trained and will let you know when she has to go out to potty by licking your hand or trying to lick your face. Mitzi is kennel trained, but would prefer to be able to ... (Read More)have roam of the house and to sleep by you at night. Mitzi is a bit of a barker and needs to be able to meet new people on her own terms. If you rush at her she will nip towards you and bark; but if you let her come to you and let her get a few good smells in she will be your best little buddy. Mitzi has never been around kids before and because she needs meet/greet time we require that no kids under 15 in her adoptive him. She is good with other dogs and has lived with one her entire life, unsure of cats. If you could give her a great home with love and patience she will be an excellent companion for many years Please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and we will get back to you about her. Rescue Me ID: 14-04-08-00307Polly (female)

Fox Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

My mother once told me that bad news is just good news in disguise. - Sid Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Bad news was that Sweet Polly the pocket sized pup is a 3 year old Fox Terrier/Chihuahua mix was abandoned by her owners the good news is that she is now a member of the Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster family. This adorable little girl with her long neck, soulful eyes and flopped over ears reminds us of Sid from Ice Age; though she is anything but sloth like! Polly is FULL of energy when she is outside and loves to run laps in the back yard. Weighing in at about 16 pounds she has the short coarse coat like ... (Read More)many Fox Terriers and sloths; but that is where the resemblance ends. While Polly may be full of vigor when she is outside she seems to know to calm down when she comes back inside. Polly would love someone to take her jogging; but at the very least she will need a good walk or 2 every day. She is amazing on a leash and loves to sit in the car whether you are going anywhere or not! She is house trained, crate trained and very, very quiet. While she is more than willing to watch TV on the bed, she prefers to sleep in a crate on the floor. Even when she wants a little quiet time, she heads to her crate. She is okay with other dogs but she is pretty pushy with them. She has a dominant play style with other dogs her own size and will try to oust another dog for her spot on your lap. She corrects easily when you tell her to play nice but we think that an 'only dog home' would be better than with other small dogs. Seems like she is just starved for attention and it is hard to share with them. Because of her energy and how quickly she bonds, we think she would be fantastic with kids (thought we haven't had her around any) but not as well suited with the elderly. She has no issues with social skills, is non-aggressive at feeding time and will nose right into the pack to get to her food and is not treat motivated but a 'Good Girl' means the world to her. She just wants to belong to and love someone in the worst way. Come out, come out wherever you are and adopt our favorite sloth, oops Fox Terrier Polly! Please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and we will get back to you about her. Rescue Me ID: 14-04-08-00245Bobels (male)

Bernese Mountain Dog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

The Bernese Mountain dog is known to be a cheerful breed who is intelligent, easy to train, good with children and friendly with strangers. The Bernese needs to be with people and not confined to the backyard or a kennel. These dogs are sensitive, have a gentle nature and need to clearly know the rules so they can be followed, thriving in structure, along with a daily pack walk to satisfy its instinct to migrate. Foster location: Salt Lake City, UT All of that being said Bobals is a 5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog mix who sadly started the first 5 years of his life chained up in the backyard. He had no structure, little contact with ... (Read More)anyone and surely no comfy bed to lay on. With some hard work, patience and love by a loving rescuer (almost a years' worth), Bobals is now showing the world who he really is with playful energy and a super soft fuzzy coat. Although hesitant and stand-offish at first he quickly warms up and loves any attention, especially head rubs. He loves to jump and play and after a fun filled day quietly curls up on his bed. He has a zest for life and as is true of the breed still shows his puppy side. Bobals is very well behaved in and out of the house; he is house trained, and does great on a leash. He loves, loves, loves going on walks and spending time outside basking in the sun or especially if he has a dog house or safe space to call his own. Bobals has spent time with other dogs and does great with them, large or small. He will melt your heart and fit right in to any family dynamic with his fun and goofy personality. Due to his past history Bobals will need a home with a fenced yard and to be a true part of the family; we do not want him banished to the back yard or kept in a crate for long periods. We want him to have a home where he can go places with his people, sleep next to their beds, people that will play with him in the backyard. Rescue Me ID: 14-04-07-00232Kira (female)

Anatolian Shepherd    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Big, Bold and Beautiful! Kira is a 105 pound, 8ish year old Akbash, purebred we believe who is sadly in search of a new home. Now before you go getting all excited and think ooo cuddly teddy bear please know that this breed is not for everyone and we encourage you to read up on them before applying. Like most Akbash's Kira is not the most affectionate dog until she's comfortable with the people; a guardian of her people and her property. She's good with kids (over 8 please) but leery of strangers. Kira loves to be cuddled, hugged and just be around her 'flock' of people and she is a wonderful companion. As with most Akbash's she can ... (Read More)get aggressive towards other animals (dogs, cats, squirrels, birds) in her 'domain' that don't belong there, though she's never attacked another animal. Now that isn't to say that she is bad with other dogs; she has been boarded at Camp Bow Wow in the past and did great; Kira just isn't going to put up with a strange animal that enters her space without the property clearance. Kira knows how to sit, lay down, and cover her eyes; she's house trained, but has suffered incontinence problems which have been remedied with Diethylstilbestrol (1mg) every 3-4 days. Monitor her water in the evening and you won't have any problems. She requires brushing, as she sheds a medium amount. Kira will also need to be walked every day; she needs a good long walk. A fenced house with a large yard and a family who will walk her daily would be best. Kira is an inside dog as well; she will need to be a part of the family; socialized and not be used as a guard dog. Because of the breeds' strong independent nature, it thinks twice upon receiving commands. You must have a well fenced yard and be willing/able to spend time on socialization. Kira needs a firm, but calm, confident, consistent owner. Kira is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $40 adoption fee for Kira If you think you can offer Kira what she needs please fill out an adoption application athttp://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ **Kira is eligible for our Pets for Patriots program - if you are a veteran let us know! Bella is more independent, but enjoys a good petting now and again as long as it is on her terms - yep this girl has a touch of cattitude. She does occasionally give love bites, but only when she's really enjoying the affection and doesn't want it to stop. Logan is an easy going, happy, happy, happy boy who loves kids, dogs and even cats! He is very good around dogs of all sizes and seems to have a special spot in his heart for Chihuahua's. Logan will lay in a ... (Read More)spot of sun with the cat in his foster home and will sit and let you pet him forever. He is soft and gentle 99.4% of the time and only shows a bad habit once in awhile when he wants kisses and he will jump up on you. But he has amazing manners and if a true joy to be around. Logan is about 15 pounds overweight when he came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue he was put on a diet and has a walking routine; a new family will need to keep this up. Due to his size he has developed a little bit of a limp in one of his hind legs; he is taking a glucosamine supplement and once he is down to his ideal weight this should clear up.     [Read About Natural Seizure Care] Little Bitty Cutie Pants is what this girls name should be but someone decided to call her Misty so guess we will go with that - but in secret we still call her Little Bitty Cutie Pants (with sugar on top)! FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Misty is a joyful little girl who is sweet, gentle and loving. She loves nice long scratches and to be close to her people. She likes to dance around and play and has recently found she also likes stuffed dog toys! She is a joy in her foster home, being nice to the kitties, learning to play and just be a dog by learning from the other dogs in her foster home. She is enjoying ... (Read More)the good life of being a Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster dog in a home that understands her and loves on her and makes her world a safe place. Misty is one of those dogs that just make you smile every time you see her face or watch her prance over to you for some loves. Sadly Misty has not always had such a great life. Misty was born into a family that was backyard breeding in the ugliest sense of the word. While being born Misty was trapped in the birth canal and deprived of oxygen. She has some neurological damage that makes her walk like a show horse instead of a dog. She prances where ever she goes but it doesn't slow her down much, it is the only thing she has ever known and she gets around great. We suspect Misty has spent her life living like a gerbil in a cage never experiencing love, snuggles or even the outdoors. She is now learning to be a dog; just sniffing around in the yard is new but she has found that it is not such a scary place and will go outside to bask in the sunshine. Due to Misty's original issues with being afraid to go outside she has been potty trained to a pad in the house; how that she is enjoying the outdoors she is learning to potty outside. This will be something that a new family will have to continue working with her on. She needs more practice and a loving person to reward her when she does well. She gets along fine with other small dogs but big dogs are too much for her and make her shake. She likes the kids she is living with in her foster home with but they are 11 and up. Due to Misty's size and neuro issues we require that she only got to a home with no kids or with kids 11 and up. Misty needs (and deserves) someone to love her and show her what she has missed in the world. She needs a chance at a lifetime of happiness. She'll repay you with sweet kisses and eyes of endearment if you will only give her a chance. If you can offer that and more to our Little Bitty Cutie Pants (with sugar on top) please contact Fuzzy Pawz Rescue and fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40 to adopt Misty Misty is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped *Misty is eligible for our Pets for Patriots Program **You can see a short video of Misty here: http://youtu.be/3NdK4kQbVoo (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-02-25-00410Minnie (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Minnie is a 5 year old Chihuahua who found herself homeless in California and decided to hitch a ride with some other doggie friends to find her fortune in Boise, Idaho. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue is hoping to help her strike gold with a forever family to call her own. This cutie is very sweet but she does take a few days to warm up and trust new people; once she does watch out as she will be your BEST friend forever and will shower your face with kisses. Minnie is a hearty little dog; not too skittish or fragile. She's adorable too, with one ear up and one ear that flops down. Minnie is not needy like a lot of little dogs; she likes to be a lap ... (Read More)dog, but she also likes just laying at the other end of the couch. Minnie is comfortable being on her own and not following her people around every moment. She burrows in the covers and wants to sleep under the covers, either at the foot of the bed or spooning with you if allowed. She's quiet and does not really bark much even when other dogs are carrying on. She has a TON of energy and is very busy. Busy, busy, busy. Not in a bad way. She needs a daily walk to ensure she is properly stimulated. Exercise and play will really help her shine, as will making sure she stays properly socialized with other people. She does like to play with people she knows and trusts--her favorite toy being the flirt pole. She also really likes a good game of 'Chase'. She enjoys camping and outdoor activities, and can be trusted in camp and on hikes to stay close by. This little dog does not want to be a 'purse dog'. She's independent and adventurous and is not 'mini' in her mind. As with a lot of dogs who have a really rough start to life Minnie can and will cop a 'little dog attitude' if/when she feels threatened. She will need an owner who will be able to make Minnie feel that she doesn't need to control her environment; that you will take care of everything. In her foster home, her strongest bond is with her foster dad who feeds her. She does not give him any trouble at all, but her foster mom gets the 'attitude' when Minnie doesn't want to do something (i.e. when she knows it's time to go in her crate in the morning). With some proper training techniques and patience this behavior is easily managed. She is not completely house trained, but she is crate trained. It takes her a while to go outside and you have to go out with her to make sure she goes. In the cold weather and rain she will not be too eager to go out on her own. With a feeding and potty schedule and a wee bit of patience she will figure it out. We are working on her basic training skills, and she is learning. Minnie is currently living with 2 dogs and 2 cats and does fine with all of them; however we think she would like to be someone's one and only. Because she can be a little untrusting at first, she should be in a home without children. Minnie is microchipped, spayed, vaccinated and will have a dental done before adoption. If you are looking for a new best friend please complete an adoption application at http://www.fuzzypawzrescue.com/adoptionapplication.htm There is a $40 adoption fee for Minnie (Less)

Domestic Cat    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Hi! My name is Otto. I am a 5-year-old very, very handsome boy if I do say so myself. I love to sun bathe, be pet, hang out on my cat tree, and eat. You haven't really heard a cat purr until you hear me! I get along with dogs, kids, and I used to live with a bunch of other cats. While I would prefer to be the only cat king of the house I will consider another cat living with me. One thing about me that makes me really special would be my back legs! I was born with fused joints in the backČ'Ř|although I can't say for sure if that is what happened because I was too young to remember. It doesn't slow me down one ... (Read More)bit, it doesn't hurt me and you won't even notice it. I am neutered, have all my vaccines, and my doctor says I am one healthy boy! If you can give me a wonderful loving new home please let my friends at Fuzzy Pawz Rescue know by filing out an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Oh yeah, there is an adoption fee, but it's small (even though I'm worth much more); only $10 to make me forever yours.
