Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00409Yuri (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise ID There's a lot of love in this 5 year old salt and pepper Poodle/Schnauzer package. Truly adorable, happy, playful and assertive. Yuri quickly connects and bonds. Loves to give kisses and excitedly lets you know how important you are to her. All she needs is the right human to share a lifetime of happy memories, excited greetings, strolls along the park, car rides and many movies as she will contently lay right beside you. Yuri loves going a walks and does great on leash. She's house trained doing her business outdoors. Given the chance she'll keep herself entertained keeping your yard free from birds and ... (Read More)squirrels. She also does well in a crate and is a great travel companion loving to go on car rides. She is an easy going girl and a real pleasure to have around. Loving too much has been Yuri's downfall. When she bonds she is protective of her human and becomes a little possessive. She'll bark at strangers (a cute fairly quiet bark) but once assured there is no danger (and is distracted with a high value treat and praise) she goes back to her happy self. Yuri will need an owner who can let her know that she doesn't need be protect her people; that they can take care of themselves. Yuri needs a kid free home (over 15) as she has been known to nip and bite at children who are too 'busy' and who don't understand that she is possessive of her quality time spent with her human. She does fine around dogs and people but she sometimes tries to keep them at bay from her human, by barking or growling and even chasing (snapping but never biting). This habit of hers will quickly diminished within a very short time removing her from the situation (i.e. if she is on a lap protecting then she goes on the floor and is ignored); and by constantly giving her praises when she's behaving well. Overall, Yuri is the perfect dog for someone who wants the company of a sweet, loving, loyal pal. Someone who will be consistent with her training to ensure everybody gets to enjoy the amazing dog she is. If you can offer adorable girl a home full of hugs, walks and play time , please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Yuri is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $125 adoption fee for Yuri (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00403Mitzi (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa ID Mitzi is a great little 4 yr old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and is just adorable in every way. Mitzi came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after contracting mange. Now recovered and doing well Mitzi hopes to find her forever home asap! She has a very submissive soul and so her training has to be with positive reinforcement and slow and calm voice; she is quite the quick study and is very eager to please. She has great house manners but Mitzi does have the annoying habit of liking to get up at 2:00am and play with her toys and run through the house LOL! The first time she did this her foster dad thought someone was in the ... (Read More)house; now it's just funny! A good walk after dinner to help tire her out and this behavior should stop. She gets along great with the other 2 dogs in her foster home and blended right in minutes after being introduced to the other dogs in the household; it was as if she had always been there. She greets you at the front when you come home and smiles and pats her paws on the floor so excited for the return of her human. She is people friendly but not sure around cats but we think she will be fine as she thinks all creatures are ok with her. Mitzi walks well on leash and obeys all commands well. Her recall is pretty good but like all animals when they get their nose, eye, or ear to something you may have to call her a couple times but she will come to you tail wagging and just happy to be alive. She is still a little unsure of the Car rides but is getting better as she is starting to understand the motion of the vehicle; she is not bothersome when riding just a little anxious still. Mitzi is the type of dog we all wish for as she just loves everyone and everything. She is really the 'Perfect' dog for any living situation... If you're looking for that very unique and wonderful little soul to ride through life with then here she is...please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Mitzi is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $50 adoption fee for Mitzi (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00370Ozzy (male)

Basenji Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Ozzy is a three-year-old Basenji/Chihuahua/Cattle Dog (best guess); who weighs in a a slim and trim 25 pounds. He was one of 23 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Owyhee County by a local shelter. This background has presented a few challenges with him but he is making great progress and is quite the entertaining little guy. He didn't receive much training or human interaction in his previous home, so it does take him a while to trust a new human but he's making great progress and gets braver each day. Taking him for a nice walk has proven to be a great way to make friends with Ozzy and of course ... (Read More)offering up so yummy treats. Build a bond of trust with him and he will be your best friend forever. He loves to snuggle with his foster mom (and the other dogs) after a long day of play in the yard. This little man is great on leash and enjoys going out for walks and playing chase in the backyard. Ozzy is an active and playful dog despite being spooked easily. Ozzy lives with three other dogs and 4 cats in his foster home, and they have him helped tremendously. He needs to go to a home with a happy-go-lucky, confident dog(s); he will not do well as the only dog in the household. Ozzy will need a special home that is anxiety aware and has a lot of patience. He has been taken from one world and into another, and despite his new life having lots of love, it's all new to him. He does like to burrow and hide in confined spaces, like under the couch or behind a shed. With time and trust he will forgo that habit as long as he has a stable, consistent home. Ozzy finds security in his crate at night and should he be feeling overwhelmed so his new home needs to make sure he has access to one. He needs a securely fenced yard (6') and he will require supervision until he is settled. Ozzy doesn't know any commands at this time but he is 100% house trained! He needs a consistent and safe environment that can let his true loyal and cuddly personality shine. Ozzy will bond to his new family given a bit of time but will need a home with no children (under 15) and someone willing and able to give him the time and reassurance he needs. You won't be sorry love, patience and gentle guidance and the sky is the limit for this lovely boy. If you can be the one who completes Ozzy's life the please apply for him today: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Ozzy is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $50.00. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-19-00240Ruby (female)

Pit Bull    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Ruby is an approximately 1 year old petite 41lb female Pit Bull who has had a rough start in life and is looking for her forever family to take her for daily walks, provide plenty of love, belly rubs and snuggles, and teach her the world is an OK place. Ruby is housetrained and has good house manners, laying in her dog bed when asked and following you around to help with household chores when you let her. Who knew folding socks could be so interesting? Ruby loves going for her daily walks and is great on a harness (and will even sneak a kiss in when you put her harness on). Ruby's background is unknown, all we ... (Read More)know is that she appears to have been picked up as a stray a couple times. Walks are a great adventure full of learning new sights and sounds and being comfortable around new things. She also jogs and rides next to the bicycle in her harness well. Ruby will need a 6' fenced secure yard. She loves to play in the backyard with a Frisbee or tennis ball and get her zoomies out and a few more belly rubs in - and who can resist when she flops down at your feet and starts wiggling around on her back, snorting like a little piggy! Ruby would love to be the only dog in a home so she can be the center of attention and receive all the love, pets, and snuggles you can give her in return for lots of kisses and body wiggles. Ruby currently lives in her foster home with a 54lb male Pitty who is submissive to her, but Ruby will not be a 'dog park' dog as she can be reactive to some dogs and as such is selective of her dog friends. Ruby has not been tested with cats, but she would probably be best in a home without cats due to her high prey drive. Ruby has not been around kids in her foster home, and she would probably be best in a home with no kids, however older kids (12+) may be OK - she is still an energetic puppy who could knock someone down if they were not paying attention. Ruby is crate trained. She enjoys Kongs and Nylabone chewies in a large, secure kennel when her foster parents are away, and at night Ruby will run right in to her kennel in the bedroom when it is time for bed. Ruby knows basic commands such as sit, down, leave-it, and come. She also knows 'look' to look at you in the eyes, 'kennel' to go in her crate, 'bed' to go to her doggie bed, and is working on 'paw' for shake. She is spayed and update to date on her vaccinations. Ruby is a young dog who really wants to please and have a stable home - while her past may be a mystery, one thing is known: Ruby has a never ending supply of kisses, snuggles, and snorts to give out to her forever family that will shower her in love, patience, learning, and affection. If you feel you can offer this lovely girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $100 adoption fee for Ruby (Less)

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Sweetie is a 12 year old Husky/Shepherd mix who came to Fuzzy Pawz from a local shelter because come on Sweetie deserves to be spending her senior years in a home, not a shelter. This pretty girl is an easy keeper and is looking for a quieter home that she will happily share with other animals. She is good with most other dogs and we are told she is also fine with cats. She will however not put up with much nonsense form a hyper dog so we'd suggest a calmer quieter dog or no dog at all. She has nice house manners, is house trained and we haven't seen any bad habits from her yet. And she is smaller than ... (Read More)average weighing in at just 48 pounds! She can become a bit disoriented when out for walks, so a home with a fenced yard that she can safely hang out in would be ideal. Sweetie does pose a flight risk as she has been known to bolt out the front door or open fence gate. Sweetie can be fairly aloof with some people but when she clicks she clicks hard. She does seem to be more comfortable around women She recently had a full vet work up including x-rays and the only thing they found was some slight arthritis in her hind quarters. Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID Molly is approximately 12 years old and we think she is a Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd mix. She got the size of a cattle dog, but the shape of an Australian Shepherd. She is very calm and relaxed in the house. As she is older she does enjoy a peaceful and calm environment. She isn't huge into chasing toys are balls, but she will happily deconstruct a toy if you give her one. She is very treat motivated. She does struggle with begging for food as she's obviously been rewarded many times over for it in the past, but with a little training and practice she could quickly be trained out of it! Molly is ... (Read More)very sweet and has a great personality. When you fill up her food bowl you will be rewarded with the cutest little 'happy hops' from her. She does enjoy getting out and walking as well as exploring the backyard. However, she is very much an indoor dog and does not want to spend very much time outside when it is cold. She does well with other dogs, yet she is a food stealer and will happily eat all other dog's food so free feeding her with other dogs in the house would not be a good idea.
