Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Three year old Lily is a small cat with a big heart. She is so super sweet and Fuzzy Pawz hopes to find her a home where she can shine! Lily is smart, funny, loyal and super lovely. She comes when you call her name! She has a very calm personality, but is playful. This lovely girl is good with other cats but needs a home without dogs - she learned to fear dogs in her first home when they would corner her in play. She is ok with kids that are old enough to treat kitties nice and has been living with a 2 year old. If you are looking for a pretty girl who loves to have her belly scratched and snuggle with ... Rescue Me ID: 16-05-25-00297Robo (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, FIV

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID Robo is a lovely 3 year-old domestic shorthair with gray and black tiger markings and stunning green eyes. This wonderful boy was in the shelter since October and, while they all loved his handsome face, the cattery staff wanted to see him in his forever home so they asked Fuzzy Pawz to take him into foster to see if we could help out. Now settled nicely in his foster home Robo is continuing to show his wondrous side. This boy is just as sweet as can be and is such a joy to be around. He loves to be with his people and 'help' his foster mom while she works (i.e. lay on her papers/keyboard). We asked his ... (Read More)care givers at the shelter to give us some notes on him and we loved their responses so much we thought we'd just share them with you: - He gives kisses and thinks love bites and bunny kicks to be affectionate. - He will eat feathers loves catnip and being center of attention i.e. The issues foster parent is having with the 'helping' lol - He's chatty in the morning and follows you around and investigates his kingdom and loves chin rubs and he's perfect Robo is a healthy boy who is suddenly tested positive for FIV after having been in the shelter for months. We are unsure if he actually has the FIV virus or if the test is a false/positive (which can occur after cats are vaccinated for FIV). That being said please don't let the FIV diagnosis bother you. The primary mode of transmission to other cats is through bite wounds. Casual, non-aggressive contact does not appear to be an efficient route of spreading FIV. We believe that Robo would be okay with cat friendly dogs, would do okay with a calm female cat in his household - remembering that proper introductions into the household must be done. Robo would love to have kids over 10 in his household and of course a lap or two to cuddle in! He is very social with people and needs to be a part of the family. If you are looking for a new love in your life Robo is your boy! Robo is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-05-13-00404Meika (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meika is three years old, is small-medium in size, and has black and white medium-long fur in a tuxedo pattern This lovely girl is sweet, a little bit shy and quite the lover. For instance she loves feeding time and she becomes adorably vocal when she's ready to eat. She is very shy and will likely hide for a while upon being adopted, but once she warms up she is the sweetest girl. She loves to take it easy and cuddle; once she gets comfortable, her loud purr and drizzle of drool are undeniable. She loves to sit by the window and watch for squirrels and birds. She has grown up with three dogs (two golden ... (Read More)retrievers and a toy poodle) so she is used to them, though she usually hides when they're being rambunctious. She sometimes plays with them by pawing as they walk by, but she generally keeps to herself. When she is feeling playful she will bat things around the floor or go for a random sprint across the house. Meika prefers to sit on a lap all day to give and receive love. That being said she would be most comfortable in a calm, stable environment with no children. She would be okay in a home calm dogs that ignored cats and with older kids; but would probably take much longer to become comfortable and would hide much more often. We are unsure about how she would do with other cats, but it is possible she would be fine with plenty of time to adjust and a proper introduction. Meika is spayed, vaccinated and in good health If you feel you can offer this sweet girl the forever loving home she deserves, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $20 adoption fee for Meika (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-09-00399Jack Jack (male)

Border Terrier Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOATION: Twin Falls, ID Do you need a little firecracker in your life? Look no further! This little 5 month old, 8 pound terrier pup masquerades as your average, run-of-the-mill puppy but he is ACTUALLY quite incredible. This little ball of energy came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after being dumped at a local shelter. Jack Jack is a ball of terrier energy with a gruff little voice to match! He will happily snuggle on your lap or on your feet, but only after his body and mind have been amply exercised. He joins his foster mom and doggie sisters on their jogging days with energy to spare and enjoys two walks on alternate days. He will ... (Read More)really need a home where he will get daily exercise with long runs/walks, if you don't exercise daily please don't apply for this high energy boy. Jack Jack is immensely smart and can learn tricks simply by observing other dogs. Most of his at-home training is helping him redirect his tenacious desire to follow his nose anywhere, including out the door and down the street in a flash. He has begun to sit-stay when the front door opens but still needs help restraining his enthusiasm for solo adventures (remember he is just a puppy). This natural desire to track should be exercised by playing structured games with his people or with treats; it could even be put to use in a competition sport such as Barn Hunt. Jack Jack can use a dog door, a puppy bell, is starting to get the hang of potty training, knows to sit for his food, and is learning to come when called. He has been introduced to the crate but he is still unhappy for the first few minutes. He will need a very secure yard and should not be left outside unattended (remember he is very smart and inquisitive). Jack Jack is extremely friendly and really open to new situations; his foster mom thinks he would make a really great therapy dog when he gets older and learns to control his energy. This scruffy character will keep you on your toes with his giant terrier attitude and intense focus. He should not be in a home with small children, large breed dogs or cats. Jack Jack is super cute, super fun and is a cuddly sweet boy; however he is ALL terrier and he has a strong will and a mind of his own, which is easily dealt with via exercise and training. He has a HUGE amount of energy. His new family absolutely must be willing to give him daily, structured exercise or else he'll become destructive and loud. Jack Jack is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. If are you looking for a sweet, active and ready to go companion Jack Jack might just be your boy. If you think you can meet his needs, please complete an adoption application here: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $200 adoption fee for Jack Jack (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-02-00536Pixie (female)

Cairn    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Blind

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise ID Pixie is a 10 year old purebred Cairn Terrier who along with her brother Bingo is sadly in need of a new home. Pixie came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her human mom had to move into a nursing home where she could no longer have this bundle of joy. Pixie is fun little dog who enjoys sunbathing in the backyard but when it gets chilly she is right there next to you on the couch. Just pick up her leashes she will run to you with tail wagging. Potentially life threatening noise coming from outside? She will let you know. Want to play? She will let you know. Need to refill the water bowl? She will let you know. Front door ... (Read More)left open? She will adventure without you. Pixie is an amazing dog, she only has partial vision in one eye and is completely blind in the other due to Glaucoma. She sometimes bumps into things but never fails to be very adventurous and happy to be wherever you are. Any new person is someone to try to get pets from and any new dog is someone to try to play with. Because of the eye troubles she does require daily eye drops twice a day. She also just had five teeth removed so she will be adjusting to that - but she never lost her chipper attitude and still loves going to the vet because she knows the vet will pet her. The UTI was left untreated for so long that she developed weakened muscles in her bladder and will need to be on Prion for the rest of her life. She cannot walk continuously for very long before getting tired - anything over a mile and a half I end up carrying her back. She also pees very frequently on walks as an after effect of the UTI. She is at risk for a reoccurrence of another UTI in the future so lots of water for this girl and a prescription diet may be in her future. Please don't let her eyes or her bladder issues scare you off; Pixie is the sweetest little girl in the world. She craves human contact and has a long and happy life ahead of her. Pixie is good with other dogs and would do best with another dog in the house that she can follow around. She would do best with no cats in her home and no kids under 15 please. She would love to live in a home where someone is home most of the time. If Pixie sounds like your perfect dog, fill out an application today at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and his foster parent will call you!! Pixie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $75 adoption fee for Pixie Make sure to check out the video of Bingo and his sister Pixie out for a walk: https://youtu.be/nqQLVBN44hM (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-05-02-00525Bingo (male)

Cairn    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Bingo is a 10 year old purebred Cairn Terrier who along with his siser Pixie is sadly in need of a new home. Bingo came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his human mom had to move into a nursing home where she could no longer have this bundle of joy. If you let him, Bingo will sleep on your lap whenever he is not eating or walking. Just pick up his leash and he will run to you with tail wagging. Potentially life threatening noise coming from outside? He will let you know. Want to play? He will let you know. Need to refill the water bowl? He will let you know. Front door left open? He will adventure without you. Bingo ... (Read More)really is just a cuddle buddy. He is slower to warm up to other dogs than his sister (he sometimes barks at other dogs while we are out walking), but once he gets introduced he tries playing. As with many males, when he gets real excited he starts to hump and for the first few days he will try marking your house, but if you keep telling him no he will stop (and a belly band is also a great tool). Bingo loves playing and chasing birds and squirrels out of the back yard. He goes on hunger strikes trying to convince you to feed him human food or fancy wet food, don't fall for his trap. While he likes his food a little softened with water he will also eat dry food. When one of his foster dog brothers doesn't finish his food Bingo goes and eats it - he doesn't hate dog food- he just wants to be special. He will eat human food off the table if you leave it unattended. He begs while you cook in hopes you will drop something. He was a wee bit spoiled in his previous home, but is learning better manners in his foster home. Bingo is house trained and while not exactly crate trained if you put him in one when you are gone he will lay down and take a nap. As we said he loves to go for a walk every day and is fair on leash; getting excited at birds, squirrels and other dogs along the way. This handsome little man needs a kid free home and probably cat free also. He would love to have someone who is home most of the time but that is not a requirement. He will do fine with another dog (female is better or a calm male) or as the only dog. If Bingo sounds like your perfect dog, fill out an application today at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and his foster parent will call you!! Bingo is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 16-04-27-00221Sage (female)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sage is a German Shepherd/Samoyed mix to the best of our guessing ability; she is about 6 years old and she has had a rough life up to the point where she came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue. This super sweet girl is gentle and has a very soft personality. She is shy and very reserved and will keep her distance with strangers until she feels comfortable with them. She needs time to warm up to new people but if you are willing to give her a bit she will prove to be totally worth it and loyal to a fault. Sage is also smart and easy to live with. She is crate trained and will go in with the simple command of 'go to bed'. ... (Read More) Sage is dog door trained and walks great on a lead! She is not a digger, chewer or jumper! She stays off of furniture unless she is invited and has shown no signs of sleeping on the bed with her foster person. She rides great in the car and it very quiet unless something startles her in the backyard. Good with other dogs; doing great with both the senior and younger dog in her foster home. Though dogs that are pushy overwhelm her and she will keep her distance. We do know that Sage is not good with cats and that she has killed chickens in the past. Sage was pretty sick when we took her in and it was a long road to recovery but she pulled through with flying colors. To keep her healthy and strong she will need a good healthly diet (grain free and salmon protein), regular exercise and remember she has a double coat so will need regular brushing. This beauty would do well with adults who will get her out and about, hikes would be fine but Sage is also happy with just a good daily walk. We do require no kids in Sages home under the age of 15 due to her being so shy. A quieter calm home environment would be best; but we want people for her that will continue to get her out and about to help break her out of her shyness. Sage is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and recently had a dental. Rescue Me ID: 16-04-27-00201Moxie (female)

Chihuahua    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Don't let the gray muzzle fool you, young Moxie is only about 3 years old! Moxie is a ~7 lb chi mix who is an outgoing, energetic, and playful girl. If you throw any toy, she will chase it. She quickly made friends with the 2 other dogs in her foster home and even keeps up with the 8 month puppy! Her foster home also has cats, and while she sometimes gets excited and wants to play with them, she usually leaves them alone. She was being passed up for a while at the Humane Society (most likely due to her coloring) so Fuzzy Pawz Rescue stepped in to foster and get to know her so she could find a perfect home. ... (Read More)Moxie would do best in a household with another playful dog to be best friends with and one that has PLENTY of toys. Give her a toy box and she will gladly take one toy out every now and then and entertain herself. She is crate trained and will sleep quietly through the night. She is also good for a cuddle during nap time. Moxie is a joy to take on walks, she is leashed trained and is ready to go wherever you want to go! Moxie is house trained, although she needs frequent chances to go outside. So far it looks like Moxie doesn't know too many basic commands but she is catching on to 'sit' after a few days so she is eager to learn and earn her treats. Overall Moxie is a fun and easy going dog that would love to have a backyard to sprint around in and some doggie buddies to hang and play with. We feel she would do really well in almost any home.     FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Allie has had a rough go in life and it seems it's not over yet. Found living on the streets in Emmet 3 years ago Allie was terrified of everything and everyone. Her finder spent 8 months working with her and gaining her trust; now sadly Allie is in need of another new home. Allie is now about 8 years old and a stunning black/orange Tortie who is in need of a calm/quiet home with people who have the patience to let her warm up to them. She enjoys being pet and sitting with you on the couch but prefers if you let it be her choice and will get down when she is done. This pretty girl loves playing with her ... Rescue Me ID: 16-03-07-00315Penny (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Penny is a 2.5 year old, 50 pound, red and white female Pointer mixed who sadly is looking for a new home because her family does not have the financial resources and the set schedule to care for her any longer. You see sweet Penny with the heart of gold gets seizures. In October of 2015 Penny was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy (probably genetic, no underlying cause). She is currently on Phenobarbital twice a day to control her seizures. They happen about 1-2 times a month. Within 15 minutes of having a seizure, Penny is back to her normal, cheerful self. She has not ... (Read More)displayed any side effects from the Phenobarbital and the vet says she may go on to live a normal life with the exception of occasional seizures. Penny is very good about taking her medication and thinks it's a treat. Currently Penny is having to visit the vet after a seizure so the vet can evaluate her medication and change her dosage of pheno. Her family was spending about $150 a month on vet visits and medication(medication $60, rest is bloodwork); once the correct dose can be found these costs will drop but she will need to see a vet on a regular basis. Penny will need a family with a fairly set routine who can administer her pills on a set schedule (this will also help regulate her medication). All of that being said Penny is totally worth it! She is one amazing dog with a TON to give back to her people. She does great with everyone she meets; she loves kids and is even very gentle with babies. She will happily rough house with older kids if allowed, but she is smart enough to know when she shouldn't. She reads people really well. Penny loves to meet new people; she wants pets from everyone and enjoys nothing more than snuggling up to her family. If you are looking for a happy go-lucky, greeter at your front door (or anywhere for that matter) Penny is your girl. Penny is house trained, crate trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands (sit, stay, lie down, shake, fetch, and she'll dance with you!). She loves to get in the car or truck to go on adventures, where she stays close and checks in often. Penny does well in the car on long trips. She loves to play all day with other dogs. She has only been around cats a couple of times but didn't seem too interested in chasing them. She would likely try to initiate play, so only dog savvy cats please! This lovely girl has a high energy level and needs a lot of exercise. She has been an excellent running partner and happily goes on runs as long as 30 miles. She's great on and off-leash, and nearly explodes with excitement when she sees her leash. If you are looking for an enthusiastic walking/running partner, she's perfect. Overall, she is a big sweetheart. Penny is a lovely girl with a lot to offer a family that is looking for a kid friendly, happy, active girl. Please don't let her seizures scare you off; we promise she is totally worth it. Rescue Me ID: 16-01-27-00173Sammy (male)

Maltese Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meet Sammy! Sammy is a 9 year old Maltese/Poodle mix who is in need of a loving forever home. Don't let this guy's age fool you! You'd never know he's 9! He's a very active boy who would like to be in a home where he can go on daily walks and continue with his training. He's a smart guy and learns things quickly. He would enjoy another dog to play with, and while he doesn't really know yet how to play nicely, he's learning. He just tries to be dominant, but he gets along very well with the dogs in his foster home as well as the cats. He may try to chase a cat that runs away, but with a firm no this behavior is ... (Read More)easily stopped. Sammy came to Fuzzy Pawz with some pretty bad behaviors; mainly he liked to use his teeth on people to stop them from doing what he didn't like (such as putting on a leash or walking away from him when he wanted attention). This naughty behavior led Sammy to injure his 86 year old original owner's hand and she had to give him up. So while in foster care Sammy has been working on un-learning this behavior; he has been showing a lot of improvement and self-control. Continued training and trust building will be very important. Positive reinforcement only methods are especially important! Because of his behavior issue, he should go to a home with no children. This little guy has a ton of potential with dedicated owners; he simply was allowed to do what he pleased, when he pleased from the time he was a puppy (so 9 years of someone allowing him to be naughty!) This little guy should go to an active home. He loves to play with his people and be very goofy and entertaining; he really is a ton of fun. He would learn some tricks easily and would really enjoy the attention that it brings. When he's been cooped up inside he will pull on the leash, so he should have some leash training as well. He's also house trained and will let you know when he needs to go outside, but he does mark inside if not watched and kept on a regular schedule; again this behavior is one that can and should be worked on. Sammy's not dumb, just used to doing what he wants; he's eager to learn. Sammy's coat and ears can get matted, so he will need to have regular brushing to keep it beautiful. This is just an adorable little boy, whose personality makes him even cuter! If you can offer this boy a loving home with structure and rules please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Sammy has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
