Rescue Me ID: 15-04-24-00409Lindee (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Kuna, ID Lindee is a 2 %BD year old English Pointer mix who is perfect all the way around. She is a petite girl weighing in at only 40 pounds and just the sweetest; most adorable girl! This girl is one of those that when Fuzzy Pawz saw her we knew we had to place her in foster care and we don't regret it for one minute. She fit right into her foster home like she has always been there. She is very friendly with other dogs and could not care less about cats. Lindee is great with everyone she meets and passed a meeting with a toddler with flying colors; she'd do well in most any household! Though when you meet her for the ... (Read More)first time she can be a tad shy, but only for a minute then you will be her new best friend. She greets her foster mom and others by sitting and holding her paw up to shake. Lindee is house trained and crate trained; though she doesn't need the crate as she is great indoors. She walks well on a leash; will pull a little on walks but will settle if you tell her to. Lindee is so cute; she learned the routine in her foster home and now after dinner you can find her sitting by the front door whimpering softly 'come on its walk time'. Responds well to training with treats - knows sit, shake and lay down, still working on 'leave it' but she has it down 70% of the time. Lindee is so easy going and so good natured that we feel she'd make a great family dog or even a great dog for a first timer! She is an active breed though and will need a home committed to exercising her every day; she'd love to walk, run, hike and camp with her family. Want to meet her? Please go fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you about her: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Lindee is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $75 adoption fee for Lindee Check out this nice video of Lindee: https://vimeo.com/124422303 (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-21-00421Josie (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Josie is an approximately 3-year old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix, with lots of love to give. She is a very happy, friendly dog, as well as very active and inquisitive. Josie is also quite smart and relatively well behaved, she does bark in the yard; she is responsible for reporting when cats or squirrels come into her yard! This little girl would prefer to be sitting by your side, or in your lap, but also needs a daily walk to spend down some of her energy. She does fairly well on the leash, though she does pull. In the house she is pretty responsive to being called, and being told to stay back. Out of the house, ... (Read More)however, she can take off to celebrate her freedom and refuse to come when called. She can easily slip out an open door so needs to be watched carefully. While Josie doesn't appear to have had much, if any, obedience training, she so likes to please her person, she should take well to learning basic commands when offered kindness and consistency. Josie would thrive is enrolled in a basic obedience class. Josie gets very excited when her person comes back from being away, even for a short time, and jumps up. Because of this, no children under 7 in the adoptive home. She does very well with other dogs; but is not what we would call cat friendly. Josie sleeps in her crate quietly, and is very good about using the dog door to go outside to do her business. In a home without a dog door, she will likely need scheduled potty breaks and time to get used to not being able to go out when she wants or needs. Accidents should be expected for the first little while until you get used to her and she gets used to the routine. She loves to go in the car, but has tried to ride in the driver's lap. The foster home has been working on stopping this, and she is learning to ride happily in the back seat. Josie really is an outstanding little dog, who doesn't seem to have many of the stereotypical small dog behaviors that put people off. She loves to meet new people, and will come to greet visitors to be petted. She wants to be with her person all the time, following them everywhere and getting a little frustrated when left behind. She just wants to be close and give and receive love. If you think you can offer this happy girl a wonderful forever home, simply fill out an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Josie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $40 adoption fee for Josie (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-04-20-00456Chewy (male)

Pomeranian    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Foster Location: Salt Lake City, UT Meet Chewy, a lovely 4 year old Pomeranian who came to Fuzzy Pawz from the land of sunshine and tan lines. This guy is one handsome, sweet little man who is full of personality! He is so fun to walk and play with! He loves nothing better than laying in the sun and cuddling up to his humans!! Chewy does ok with other dogs if they are visiting or on a walk. And while he is fine with them in his home we have found that he does like to be the one and only. Sadly Chewy was not neutered until late in life and has a bit of a dominant personality when it comes to his 'territory'. He feels that everywhere ... (Read More)in his home (and yard) is his territory and will mark all of it to make sure any other resident animals know he is the boss! For this reason we feel Chewy would do best as an only pet. Chewy is house trained he will bark and wave when he needs to go outside. He tolerates children but would do best with kids 8 and older. He will be happy to play with any dog, as long as they leave at the end of the day!! Chewy will do well in any house where he is the rooster!! If you are looking for your one and only, simply fill out an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Chewy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $40 adoption fee for Chewy (Less)

Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Cricket is a 6(ish) year old Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen (PBGV for short) mix whose owner sadly had to move into a nursing home and could no longer care for her. The family reached out to Fuzzy Pawz for help and we were more than happy to help out. Cricket is a very friendly lady who gets along with everyone she meets. This happy girl gets along very well with adults and kids; though we prefer kids 7 and up since Cricket has never lived with kids full time and may not be as kid savvy as others. She gets along with other dogs and would be fine living with one or by herself. To our knowledge Cricket has never ... (Read More)been exposed to cats so if you have one and are interested we'd have to see how she does. This cutie is house trained and is a great house companion! She loves to go for walks and needs daily exercise to help her loose some of the excess weight she has put on since her owner was no longer able to take her out. She even walks great on a leash so it's fun for her and for you. She does know her basic commands but sometimes can be a bit stubborn about them and needs you to tell her more than once. She would love an active family with a yard to play in. She has beautiful amber eyes that will steal your heart away! If you would like to meet this darling girl, simply fill out an adoption application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Cricket is vaccinated and spayed There is a $75 adoption fee for Cricket (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-03-27-00212Giget (female)

Siamese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Foster Location: Boise, ID Meet Gidget whose name fits her perfectly as the name Gidget is a blend of 'girl' and 'midget'. Our girl Gidget may not be into surfing but she is one fun loving girl with a huge heart! This tiny little 2 year old lynx point Siamese is a dream and she has the most stunning blue eyes we have ever seen! Gidget is 1 of 9 cats that were turned into a local shelter by a breeder who had fallen onto hard times. This stunning girl came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue with 3 others from the same breeder and we couldn't be happier having her with us. Gidget is a funny girl who LOVES to be loved on. She will follow you around ... (Read More)the house just in case you might want to pet her; she loves to lay either on your lap, next to you or at the very least within a few feet. Heck she is so friendly with everyone that she runs to the front door when someone knocks - she wants to be the first to say hi! She is so friendly and social she would do great in almost any household. This girl is so social that she doesn't seem to have meet a human or animal stranger. She gets along great with other cats and loves dogs! She can frequently be found rubbing up against and grooming one of the dogs in her foster home. And she is even great with the senior cat in her foster home who hates her; Gidget just gives her space and walks away when she gets snarled at. Gidget does do better with at least 1 other animal in the home; she will not do well as the only pet in the home. Please note that Gidget has no fear of dogs so if you have a dog and want to adopt Gidget your dog must be extremely cat friendly. Easy going, friendly and has great house manners, what more can you ask for. She learned very quickly that she was not allowed on the kitchen counters; in a new home she may need a quick reminder though. Gidget likes to take long naps in one of her cozy cat beds, like to sit with her people and loves to give affection! If you are looking for a cat that wants and needs to be loved and you want a cat that has a ton of love to give please consider giving Gidget not just a place in your home but a place in your heart, you won't regret it. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID I was living behind a restaurant finding food scraps whenever I could just to survive; at only 3 years old it wasn't easy - I had no clue how to live on the street. Lucky for me a nice lady took me in, made sure I was health, gave me lots of yummy food and a soft comfy bed to sleep on. I am kind of a shy girl but I'm VERY SWEET, I've gained a lot of confidence since I was found but I still prefer calm, quiet people. I would love to be a part of a family who would just let me sit with them, give me treats and let me love them in my own quiet way! Don't get me wrong, I'm just shy and once I know you are nice ... (Read More)to me I'll give you love back 10 fold. I love cat treats and scratches, scratches are one of my favorite things. If you have treats your my best friend! The lady who took me in gives me treats twice a day and I can hardly wait to get them. I am a small girl with big round green eyes and they kind of have a twinkle to them! I live with two other cats a boy and a girl and I love them both very much! I've never been around a dog so I'm not sure if I would like them or not. My one wish is to have a family of my very own.     FOSTER LOCATION: Emmett, ID Hey everyone my name is Nick and not to brag or anything but I am a very SWEET and gentle boy. I am about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated and ready to find a forever family of my very own. You see I had a 'family' once upon a time but they moved to Montana and left me behind out in the country all alone; needless to say I was terrified - did you know there are coyotes out there? Luckily for me my wits kept me safe until a wonderful lady came to rescue me; she took me home and cared for me. I admit it took me a little while to trust her but I quickly realized that not all people are mean and now I feel safe ... (Read More)showing everyone what a very outgoing boy I am. I am in a foster home with two other kitties and I love them very much, I sleep with them. I've never met one of those dogs things; at least not so far as I remember, but I suppose if it was really, really nice to me I might be okay. I love to sit on your lap and be scratched and brushed. When I get excited I drool because I am SO HAPPY! I know everyone is thinking - what the heck is wrong with his ear; when I was on my own I had ear mites very bad, by the time I got found and treated it left me with a cauliflower ear (but no worries I'm healthy!). People tell me I am BEAUTIFUL in spite of it and I believe them!! I just want to be a part of a family that will spend time with me and love me as much as I love them. Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Are you looking for a loyal, loving companion? How about a dog that is house trained, leash trained and knows basic commands? A dog that is great in the house, likes to go for rides and is easy going? One that is good with other dogs? Then Tippy is your boy! Tippy is a 10 year old Australian Shepherd/Lab mix who is one long legged boy. Now don't let his age fool you - Tippy still has lots of life left in him; he is a healthy guy with just a touch of arthritis. We just don't know where to start telling you about this guy there are just too many good things to say. He's house trained, crate trained, good ... (Read More)on a leash, calm and quiet in the house. Great with people, good with kids (but prefers quieter, older kids) and knows all his basic commands. Will meet you at the front door when you get home; wearing a smile and ready to meet your every need. While he loves to be wherever his people are he will go relax on the sofa or nice heated bed if you are too busy to spend time with him. He is easy going with other dogs and likes to play with them; but he is way too interested in cats for our liking so no cats in his home please. He loves to go places with you and rides very nicely in the car. Our hope for Tippy's new home is a person(s) to call his very own to snuggle up to, someone that would let him lie with them and watch tv; someone to take him on walks every day. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-14-00641Mango (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Mango is a gorgeous orange tabby who is just around a year old. He and his siblings were found as strays when they were about 3 months old; all of his siblings were adopted already but poor Mango is still waiting. This lovely, sweet, gentle boy can be terribly shy when meeting new people and that is keeping people from seeing the true him. We know that if someone would look past his initial shyness that he would blossom in a home of his very own given a week or so. Once he knows you Mano is a doll. He is very gentle with people and really loves daily chin rubs before dinner. He also loves it when you ... (Read More)scratch down his spine to the base of his tail you'd think he'd gone right to heaven! He's pretty cute when you do that; he wraps his long tail back over his spine and stands up on his tippy toes so high that he almost falls over. Once he knows you are his friend he will let you pick him up and hold him for a bit while you scratch his chin. When he's really into the lovefest he will wrap his front legs around you for a hug. Mango does not like it if you reach for the top of his head, he will shy away if you do that, but stick to under the chin and the back and he is in heaven. He's a bit afraid of the vacuum but just make sure there is a cat tree he can climb onto and he's good. Did we mention that Mango loves to play with toys; ping pong balls are his very favorite! You send one rolling across the floor and we are pretty sure he'd be happy all day chasing it. He will start chirping at the ball as he runs all over chasing it it really is just so much fun to watch. He has been around other cats and does just fine; we've never had him around dogs so we are unsure how he would be. However we think if the dog leaves him alone and you give him time to adjust to the dog he would be him. Because Mango is quiet and a bit on the shy side, his new home shouldn't have kids any younger than 12 please. He enjoys the quiet life and would thrive in a soft easy going environment. Someone who wants a quiet gentle companion would be perfect for him. Mango has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
