Rescue Me ID: 14-11-26-00209Loca (female)

Beagle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID What weighs 17 pounds, is 18 months old and the mutt of all mutts? Loca! This cutie is a Beagle/Heeler/Chihuahua mix - or whatever. She is 18 months old and sadly is in search of a new home. Loca found herself at a local shelter, got adopted and now her adoptive family is unable to care for her. Loca loves to play with other cats and dogs. She loves tug of war and fetch, and she loves noisy chew toys and bones. She loves to cuddle and is very affectionate, and she is a very loyal companion. Loca loves to go on walks and to play at the dog park. Loca likes to eat in peace, and doesn't like to ... (Read More)share treats or special toys. Loca dislikes kennel time and being told to stay for long periods of time. These things are easy to work on; she's just a young pup and with some structure and positive reward training all of this is a simple fix. Little Loca comes when you call her name, and she doesn't bark indoors. She is well behaved and mostly leash trained on walks, and she can run alongside a bike. She is very gentle with kids and animals. Loca can also howl/sing on demand; she can be pretty goofy. She will run when given the opportunity so she will need a securely fenced yard and is not an off leash candidate. Loca is vocal when new people come to the home; making sure you know someone new is in the house. She is not consistent with commands, but shows great potential; again she has not had any training in her short life. She struggles with potty training when not reinforced at night, pretty sure most of this is because she does not like cold weather or snow on her belly. A scheduled feeding routine and scheduled potty breaks will take care of this also. Loca really is a lovely, silly little girl who is good with other dogs, kids and adults alike. She has been bounced around a lot in her 18 months and will thrive with some consistency. We would suggest that Loca go to a home with kids over 12; while she is good with kids she tends to get overwhelmed when there is a lot of chaos in the home. If you can offer Loca a stable home life with lots of love, affection and some training please complete an adoption application at: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Loca is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $40 adoption fee for Loca. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00305Chip (male)

Chinese Crested    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID Bald is BEAUTIFUL! Chip, a 5 year old purebred Chinese Crested came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when his human could no longer care for him. He is now in search of a new home that knows the breed and that can not only love him with their whole heart but that can care for him in the proper manner. This handsome boy loves to hang out with his foster family and he will curl up on a dog bed next to you or in your lap is his favorite. He is just the sweetest boy, gentle and loving and he likes to give kisses. If you talk to him he will talk right back and tell you all about his day. While he does really like people ... (Read More)his tolerance level is low for kids; so a home with kids 12 and older only please. He is good with other dogs and is being fostered with 3 others; he's been great with all of them; he loves to play chase with them. Chip spent some time in a home with a cat and did fine until the cat gave him a good swat and then he was more interested in the cat. He would do fine with a cat that was dog savvy and played the ignore card. Chip is housetrained with regular potty breaks and is crate trained and is very polite on the leash and when taking a treat. He has excellent house manners and is easy to live with. Chip will do best in a home with someone who is home during the day or is home on and off during the day. Chip is very fast and will require a yard with a fence of at least 5 feet as he is able to jump quite high Chip has some skin issues as most dogs of this breed usually do. When he came to us he was covered in acne and his skin was leathery feeling; however with a change in his diet (grain free only); a good bath and a regular dose of 100% organic coconut oil he is already showing signs of improvement. With the proper care and right food Chips skin will clear up with time. Chip will need to go to a family that knows and understands what this breed needs with regard to his diet and bathing. A home that has had or currently has Cresteds will be considered first for adoption. Chip is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped If you can offer Chip a lifetime of happiness and the special care he needs please fill out the application for him at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and his foster Mom will get back to you quickly. Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00282Daisy (female)

Papillon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Deaf

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Cuteness ALERT! Cuteness ALERT!! If you don't want cute, sweet, loving and adorable wrapped up in one package then stop reading right now. Daisy is an 8 year old Papillion (possibly purebred) who lived with a senior woman her entire life; when her human was no longer able to care for her she was turned into a shelter. Shelter life is stressful enough for dogs but Daisy is deaf and that makes things that much harder so Fuzzy Pawz Rescue placed her in their foster program. Daisy loves to be wherever her person is and will stick fairly close to you inside the house or out and she loves to go for a ride in ... (Read More)the car with you. She loves to go for a walk and is great on a leash. While Daisy is a total love and an absolute joy she does startle easily; so no kids under 12 please. Daisy is a smart girl and reacts well to hand signals and will thrive if her training continues. It's as easy to train a deaf dog as a hearing dog, the only difference is you use hand signals instead of verbal commands. There are easy tricks to working with deaf dogs; stomping your foot to make the floor vibrate is always a good one and using very smelly treats to attract their attention. Daisy is very food motivated so training is easy. Daisy grew up with another Papillion and is currently living with another dog in her foster home. She gets along with other dogs, as long as they stay out of her face; she's not big on pushy, bossy dogs. She is house trained and will scratch at the door when she is ready to come back inside; we think using a bell on either side of the door would work great for her. You do have to watch her at the front door as she will sometimes try to bolt; but a bit of training on the 'wait' command and that will no longer be an issue. She doesn't get on the furniture unless she is prompted too. She will go in her crate when prompted. Daisy is just a sweet, lovely, loyal little girl who would do best in a home where people are around most of the day. A retired couple would be perfect for her. Daisy is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped If you can offer Daisy a lifetime of happiness please fill out the application for her at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and her foster Mom will get back to you quickly.     FOSTER LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT Outgoing, cuddly and oh so sweet! That describes our girl Kate to a 't'. Kates favorite thing to do is to find someone to pet her and a lap to cuddle in; she just likes to be around her people. She will walk beside you following you around just to see what you are up to. She loves kids and has not had issues with other cats and doesn't seem to mind dogs. She loves her cat buddy Will and the two of them can often be found napping together or her being groomed by Will; she'd love to go to a new home with him. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-17-00536Chubby (male)

Chihuahua    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet little Chubby looks like he is a Corgi trapped in a Chihuahua body; making him the cutest dog this side of the Continental Divide. This little man is 7 years old and just a sweet heart. Chubbs takes a little while to feel comfortable with new people and so can be a little stand offish until he gets to know you; he's not mean about it he's just shy. While he loves to be close, he prefers not the center of attention. He likes to follow his foster mom around and sit right next to her but doesn't actually get in her lap very often. This should change over time; once he has a home that is his very own and he ... (Read More)finds that special person who will bring him peace. When we took Chubby from the shelter he was totally in love with one of the workers there and was all over her seeking her attention. This boy didn't have the best of lives and did not grow up learning to be a normal happy, playful dog and sadly never learned how to play with toys. He is however very good with other dogs, having lived with lots of them in the past this isn't surprising. Chubby would probably do best in a household with another dog that he can model behavior after or with an owner that has lots of time to devote to him. He is very quiet in the house and perfectly house trained. While Chubbs is okay with kids he would need to be in a home with children who know to respect his wanting to be left alone at times. Loud, running kids would make him shut down. Chubby also met a cat while he was in the shelter and didn't seem to care about it one way or the other so we think he'd be fine with them. He loves to jump up on the couch and likes to sleep with his doggie friends in your bed. He is a great little traveler, he went to Cascade last weekend and he slept the whole way. Loves to just sit in the car so have to watch just leaving the door open in the garage or he jumps in and falls asleep. Chubby is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped If you can offer Chubby a lifetime of happiness and learning please fill out the application for her at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ and her foster Mom will get back to you quickly. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-14-00641Mango (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Kitten

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Um Hi my names Mango and I'm 6 months old I'm very shy and easily startled by things both new and old even my favorite toy if it bumps me while playing I might run away, after all it attacked me. I know that I'm safe but its all so scary sometimes, you will have to have lots of patience with me a soft voice I don't like loud noises even the birds outside can cause me to leave a beautiful window and that monster called the 'Vacuum' don't even get me started on that crazy thing. You see I was born outside with my 2 brothers our moms a friendly stray who had us under our foster moms deck so my brothers were easy ... (Read More)to catch I was more challenging. I hissed at her and tired to make myself look bigger but truth is I was shaking real bad; I was so scared about this whole thing I've never been held by a human till that moment and I didn't know what was going happen to me. While I'm still a bit shy I am a love when I get to know you. My favorite toy is the Mouse Catcher and I'm very good at catching it its letting it go. Through lots of love and time I have grown more confident in everything around me. But what has truly help me to blossom is our adoptive baby sister she shown up one stormy night and while my brothers really didn't like her I love her. We play and snuggle together and for one so small she's been my rock through everything and if she can do it then so can I. I've never been around kids or dogs so I'm not sure how I'll be. I've been around other cats but they just ignored me which was fine by; which me gave me lots of time to adjust and with my brothers there to guide me I'm becoming more open to trying new things. I enjoy the quiet life and would thrive in a soft easy going environment for someone who wants a quiet gentle companion then I'm your guy. I love my food and am ok with treats I use the litter box with no problems and I'm in great health. I've had all my kitten shots including rabies so I'm good till after I turn 1. I've been microchipped and neutered as well so I'm all set to go and find my furever home with you and I hope that with you I might become the cuddliest lap cat you've ever had. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-09-00146Cece (female)

Westie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Kimberly, ID Cece is an adorable 2 year old West Highland Terrier mix who found herself at a shelter, got adopted, then returned after 6 months because the owner said she would not stop pottying in the home. Well 2 days in a Fuzzy Pawz foster home and that is no longer an issue - all Cece needed was someone to be patient with her and she was happy to do whatever they wanted. She gets along great with other dogs and is a little shy around cats. She seems like she wants to play with the cat in her foster home, but as soon as the cats make eye contact, she runs away. Cece LOVES a good game of fetch in the backyard! Cece ... (Read More)is very loyal to her foster family, but very shy towards strangers; it takes her a bit of time to warm up to someone new. She doesn't like loud noises or sudden moves and if you reach for her quickly and she doesn't see you she will snap at you. This girl appears to have been treated roughly by human hands at some point in her life. Because of this no children under 15 in the home please; she would do best in a quiet, calm home where she can be lavished with love. She will always let you know if someone is knocking on the door; she is very alert to the comings and goings of the house. Cece is house trained if you remember to take her out and also crate trained; she will stay in her crate all night without a peep. Her foster family has been making sure to take her out on a schedule and it is working with a charm; Cece has never figured out how to signal that she needs to go out. If you are looking for a dog that will cuddle with you and fall asleep on your lap; a companion in the car/rv/etc she is the girl for you! Cece will take a bit of time to adjust to a new family but once she settles she is your best friend for life. Cece is spayed, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. Cece was also recently groomed. There is a $100 adoption fee for Cece. He is both lovey and affectionate and independent at the same time; enjoying a lap and a scratch and enjoying time lying in the sun snoozing. This boy does really well with dogs (he has lived with 3); if the dogs step out of line he will bat at them so, the dogs know who the real boss is and everybody is happy. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meeeeoooowww - this is one amazing cat, she is the epitome of the 'cat's meow'. From the minute Fuzzy Pawz took Miso out of the shelter we knew we had something pretty special in our hands. She nestled right into her foster moms arms like she never wanted to leave; and she doesn't! Miso loves to be held in your arms, sit on your lap or at the very least sit next to you. Miso is very affectionate with anyone who will put their hands on her; she will lean in or rub against you asking to be loved on. If you have been ignoring her for a long time she will throw herself down on the floor at your feet and roll ... (Read More)over onto her back just begging for affection. We are sure that Miso never met a stranger; she is out to win the hearts of everyone that comes in contact with her. She'd even be great with kids that are old enough to know better than to pull on her tail, ears, fur. Now don't get us wrong Miso is not so affectionate that she is bothersome; well sometimes she can be but she listens very well and gets it when you ask to be left alone for a while. If you aren't petting her she loves to play with toys - balls with bells in them are her favorite, she will ran and chase them like a wild child. Keep in mind that she is only about 2 and so still a lot of kitten; she has a true zest for life that we think she will have into old age. Miso is currently living with 2 other cats and does well with them other than the occasional bout of hissing at each other. She really likes to play chase and tag with the young cat in her foster home and actually shares toys very nicely. She has learned that the older cat in the household won't put up with kitten crazy so Miso gives her space. We haven't had a chance to test her with dogs yet but my guess is that she would be okay with cat savvy dogs that understand not to chase her when she is playing. When Miso first came to her foster home she did jump on the counters and tried to scratch the furniture. But this is one smart girl - her foster mom told her no in a stern voice and she has never done it again. She really is the perfect roommate. She uses the litterbox as she should, knows to wait politely for food, takes treats gently, hasn't quite figured out her name but she will come if you pat your leg and say come. If you are looking for an amazing buddy to join your household Miso just might be the perfect fit. Any potential adopter must want a buddy to sleep with them and have an open lap for Miso to lay in. Want to meet her? Please go fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you about her: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Miso is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $20 adoption fee for Miso (Less)
