Rescue Me ID: 14-09-16-00175Miso (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Meeeeoooowww - this is one amazing cat, she is the epitome of the 'cat's meow'. From the minute Fuzzy Pawz took Miso out of the shelter we knew we had something pretty special in our hands. She nestled right into her foster moms arms like she never wanted to leave; and she doesn't! Miso loves to be held in your arms, sit on your lap or at the very least sit next to you. Miso is very affectionate with anyone who will put their hands on her; she will lean in or rub against you asking to be loved on. If you have been ignoring her for a long time she will throw herself down on the floor at your feet and roll ... (Read More)over onto her back just begging for affection. We are sure that Miso never met a stranger; she is out to win the hearts of everyone that comes in contact with her. She'd even be great with kids that are old enough to know better than to pull on her tail, ears, fur. Now don't get us wrong Miso is not so affectionate that she is bothersome; well sometimes she can be but she listens very well and gets it when you ask to be left alone for a while. If you aren't petting her she loves to play with toys - balls with bells in them are her favorite, she will ran and chase them like a wild child. Keep in mind that she is only about 2 and so still a lot of kitten; she has a true zest for life that we think she will have into old age. Miso is currently living with 2 other cats and does well with them other than the occasional bout of hissing at each other. She really likes to play chase and tag with the young cat in her foster home and actually shares toys very nicely. She has learned that the older cat in the household won't put up with kitten crazy so Miso gives her space. We haven't had a chance to test her with dogs yet but my guess is that she would be okay with cat savvy dogs that understand not to chase her when she is playing. When Miso first came to her foster home she did jump on the counters and tried to scratch the furniture. But this is one smart girl - her foster mom told her no in a stern voice and she has never done it again. She really is the perfect roommate. She uses the litterbox as she should, knows to wait politely for food, takes treats gently, hasn't quite figured out her name but she will come if you pat your leg and say come. If you are looking for an amazing buddy to join your household Miso just might be the perfect fit. Any potential adopter must want a buddy to sleep with them and have an open lap for Miso to lay in. Want to meet her? Please go fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you about her: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Miso is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped There is a $20 adoption fee for Miso (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-15-00324Norma (female)

Schnauzer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID One look at Norma and you can't help but fall in love with her deep golden eyes and her loving personality. Norma is a 6 month old Schnauzer/Scottie mix who sadly found herself living with some not very nice people. Norma was rescued from them by a lovely woman in Mt. Home; who then contacted Fuzzy Pawz to help Norma find a forever home. Norma has a fun silly personality and is a real cuddle bug too. She loves everyone she meets and can be quite the social butterfly. But she also likes to curl up and take a little nap with you if you let her. Norma is good around children, but would need to be in a home ... (Read More)with kids who already know pull on ears, tail, etc. Norma has a sweet gentle disposition and loves the company of another dog; so much so that she should probably go to a home with other dogs. We are unsure how she is with cats, but our best guess is that due to her age she would for sure chase them if they ran. Norma is crate trained, house trained and knows how to sit, lay down and wait. She is great on a leash and loves to travel in the car. Norma comes when you call her and is an all-around great girl who is willing, ready and able to learn most anything you teach her. She will fetch toys and return them to your feet. She really loves rubber dog toys that squeak and a good raw bone or bully stick to chew on. She is food motivated and learns very quickly with treat or praise reinforcement. Due to her breed mixture she is considered a low shed dog but she will need grooming a few times a year. A good bath and brushing with a trim around her eyes when she needs it will be enough to keep this pretty girl groomed. Norma is spayed, current on shots, and micro chipped. Norma is $40 to adopt plus the reduced cost of her vetting. If Norma sounds like a good fit for you please go to http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/and fill out the application for her and her foster Mom will get back with you soon. Australian Kelpie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Every time we look at our boy Russo, Jimmy Buffett pops into our head 'Hey, Hey, Good Lookin', whatcha got cookin', How's about cookin' something up with me' Why you ask? Come on just look at him; doesn't he remind you of the cool boy in school who always had the smoothest pick-up lines? A guy who would come up with the line 'I'm free and I'm ready maybe we can go steady' If you are looking for a new guy in your life Russo is your man! He is a 1 1/2 year old, 60 pound Kelpie/Lab with maybe a touch of German Shepherd thrown in for good measure who is almost always up for a good time. Russo LOVES playing fetch ... (Read More)- especially with a Frisbee so he can show off his mad jumping/catching skills. Russo also likes to be on the go (he's a very active boy); he loves riding in the car, loves playing in water and just has a zest for all the fun things in life. Russo walks well on a leash, makes a great running partner and knows several commands like sit, down, roll over, shake and high five. Once in a while his bravado slips a he gets a bit shy but 95% of the time he is everyone's best friend; eager to learn and eager to please. He plays well with other dogs and is good with children but would probably be better with older children as he sometimes gets excited and doesn't watch where he's running when he plays fetch. Russo would make a great family dog and a wonderful companion. So if you are looking for that smooth talking, smart as a whip, handsome guy to add to your life Russo just might be your boy. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID Dubby came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue after finding himself and about 20 of his closest friends at an animal shelter. Unsure of why he was there, why his friends started to disappear (they were adopted) and why he was left in the company of strangers Dubby became shy. The shelter knew that all Dubby needed was a warm lap and some sweet nothings whispered in his ear to find the zest in life again so Fuzzy Pawz was called. Dubby has been in a foster home for a few weeks and what can we say about this little guy, hmmm. How about he is the sweetest boy EVER! Dubby is an 8 year old Chihuahua; the short, stocky ... (Read More)variety and is totally adorable and did we mention that he is a sweetheart? This little guy loves to lay with his person, cuddling on the couch is a favorite past time; he is content to lie around all day or be as active as you want. Dubby is very well behaved and he is pretty calm in the house and just wants to be with his human no matter what they are doing. He's house trained, great to walk and likes chew toys but not much else as far as toys. He rides well in a car with a seatbelt but whines a little if he's riding in a crate. He gets along great with other dogs and cats, good around kids. He seems to know basic commands but tends to ignore you if you let him. While he is good with kids we would not recommend him for kids under 10, he is pretty lazy. We really can't say enough good things about the little guy. He just really wants his own human to love. It's been just over a month since we came to live in our foster home & I am no longer that 'scared little Peanut by the dumpster'. I am a very sweet & snuggly girl but really - I am a lap cat! Rescue Me ID: 14-08-20-00199JJ (male)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bet you can't resist his smile! FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Two years ago JJ was found as a stray, moved in with a lovely senior woman and enjoyed life to the fullest. Sadly his mom developed health issues that didn't allow her to care for this adorable 4 year old Chihuahua any longer. Fuzzy Pawz is now dedicated to finding JJ the perfect forever home. JJ is a very nice boy who loves to be with his person; he loves to sit in your lap or next to you and he likes to be held and cuddled on. JJ has not been socialized very well so he does take a minute or two to make friends with people; but once he does look out, he'll smother you with ... (Read More)kisses. We do require kids 14+ as he has never lived with kids to our knowledge. Sweet, stocky, sturdy and a bit stubborn is how we'd describe this boy. He is very smart and knows 'sit', 'wait', 'follow me', and 'down'. We had been working on 'do your business', not sure if that one has stuck yet or not. He walks on a leash nicely. He even knows to wait to be invited into/out of the house. While he knows all of these things and does them well 90% of the time he does have a stubborn streak and will employ 'selective hearing' from time to time. JJ needs a stable household with someone who can take the time to finish house training him. We are sure he would already be housetrained however there is another dog in his current residence that is not house trained. Some consistent house training work for a few days and this will be taken are of. If you can offer o the life he deserves please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40 to adopt JJ JJ is neutered, vaccinated (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-11-00522Bud (male)

German Wirehaired Pointer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Goofy, Silly, Happy those are the words we all use to describe Fuzzy Pawz foster dog Bud. This 8 month old German Wirehaired Pointer (our best guess) mix is all snuggly cuteness and 77 pounds of leg, muscle and awesomeness! Bud can be a bit unsure of new people but hand him a dog cookie; give him a quick pet and he will be your best friend. He bounds quickly and strongly to people and LOVES to be pet; he follows his Foster Mom everywhere she goes and sneaks in extra petting time whenever he can. If Bud could speak he would tell his foster mom and each of his human friends 'I love you to the moon and back'. ... (Read More)This goofy boy is living with four other dogs and gets along great with all of them. He does tend to forget just how big he is and has to be reminded not to run them over during play time. Bud gets excited when he meets a new dog and can sometimes bum rush them in his excitement to play; but he takes both human and other dogs corrections perfectly. We have had Bud around a few cats now and he totally ignores them; even a sweet cat named Mouse who wanted to be Bud's new best friend in a bad way; Mouse kept rubbing all over Bud and Bud just kept turning his head away. Bud is house trained, knows how to use a dog door, knows sit, takes treats gently and is working on many other commands. He is doing well with crate training; he doesn't like it very well though and sometimes you have to trick him into going in. He walks fairly well on a leash, but he does tend to get distracted on occasion. Bud is a higher energy boy and will need walked/ran every single day and needs to have someone play with him; as long as he gets his exercise he is a happy, content boy. Bud thrives on praise, so tell him when he is doing well and he will be happy to do it again! Bud will need a family that is going to exercise him daily and keep up on his socialization with other people and dogs. He needs a family that will take him places (he loves going to H3 Pet Foods) with them; introducing him to new things and new experiences. You put in the time and he will reward you with all the love and affection in the world. Bud is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. There is a $75 adoption fee to help cover part of Bud's vet costs; the balance of the bill will be paid by the rescue If you would like to see Bud in person please fill out an adoption application and his foster mom will contact you: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ (Less)

Sadly his mom moved and didn't take him with her; now a nice lady with severe allergies is caring for him. Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT This big lug loves human company; he really enjoys just sitting by you so you can pet him and with his super soft coat you won't want to stop! He's great with kids and knows to be gentle with them; though due to his size (100 pounds) we require kids over 5. This gentle giant just wants to be with his humans no matter what they are doing. Tug is a 6 year old Mastiff mix and he is the full package! Manners, social skills and a loving personality to boot. He loves to explore outside but minds his human's voice and comes right back when called. Being inside doesn't faze him either; he is housebroken ... (Read More)and does well being left alone with free reign of the house. He is always in a good mood, eager to please and seems to live with a smile on his face. He truly is the perfect roommate even if he won't do the dishes or take out the trash. Tug doesn't do well with most other dogs, though can be a bit pushy with some especially around food and toys; he would do best being the only dog in the home. He does not do well with cats and will need a cat free home. Tugs tail never stops wagging and he will be sure to fit right into any active home where he can get daily walks and lots of love and attention. He is a total joy to be around. Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Foster Location: Nampa, ID Are you looking for a sweet, petite (27 lbs) and active companion? Then you should meet Behr! Behr is a 2 year old spayed female Border Collie/Australian Cattle dog mix. She is quite the looker with her stunning brown eyes and agile body. Shy in new situations, Behr quickly warms up with some reassurance; just whisper sweet nothings to her and give her a gentle hand. Behr is very praise motivated, giving tail wags (well stump) and a little happy dance when told she is a 'good girl' in a cheerful and positive voice. Once she gets to know you, Behr enjoys tummy rubs and will lean in for affection. There ... (Read More)are no children in Behr's foster home, but when out at events and for walks she is drawn to them. Behr does very well with calm children and is happy to soak up all the attention. Behr bonds strongly with people once you have gained her trust and is a very devoted companion Behr does well with other dogs, but can be intimidated if they are dominant. She is best in a home without cats or birds due to her high prey drive. Behr loves to chase the birds that fly into the yard, even following the ones who just fly over. She LOVES squeaky toys and will even toss the toy in the air herself if you are not throwing for her. Behr will chase after the toy and get it; however we are still working on bringing it back. Nyla bones are her favorite chew toy. She will also need a home with a 6' fence - no electric fences please. House trained, crate trained, walks well on a leash and doing well with basic commands, and did we say adorable; what more could you ask for? Behr has an active mind and body and as such she needs a family that will keep her working in some fashion; walks, training, playing a few times a day and she is a rockstar. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chinden just might break your heart. FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet, shy Chinden came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when some lovely people found her abandoned at a motel. If she hadn't been crying no one would have ever found her. There was a break in the foundation to the maintenance building and Chinden had created a little den between the foundation and the hot water heater. Chinden is a sweet and gentle hearted girl who is a bit shut down and depressed at the moment. She spends much of her time cuddled in her favorite spot looking away from everyone in the room (you know, if I can't see you then surely you can't see me). However ... (Read More)despite this she is so even tempered and gentle that we can take her out of her hiding place and cuddle with her. She is craving affection and attention and if put her on your lap and pet under her chin her eyes relax and she settles right in. If you sit quietly in her room she will come out and explore. A steady, loving forever home will bring her back to her true loving self. She is a very quiet girl and is a total doll; sweet natured and even tempered! Chinden does not like dogs at all and will get a bit crazed at the sight of them; we are guessing she may have been attacked while she was out on her own. She will tolerate the other cat in foster care with her; she does not engage with him but does not go after him either; with a correct introduction into the home we think she would be fine with another cat. She uses her litter box perfectly and we have not seen her scratch on things that are not meant for her. This girl just had a trip to the vet and she is about 3 years old, in great health, has been spayed and vaccinated. Chinden would thrive in a quieter home where someone wanted a sweet, gentle companion; she just need someone to see how wonderful she is and she will pay it back 10 fold. If you are looking for a new best friend please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $10 adoption fee. **Chinden is eligible for our Pets for Patriots program - if you are a veteran let us know! Rescue Me ID: 14-03-05-00263Misty (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Silly, goofy, sweet, gentle those are the words we who know her use to describe Misty the 3 year old Chihuahua mix. This pretty, long legged girl is just a joy to be around with her lopsided grin and her ambling walk. Misty is one of those dogs that just make you smile every time you see her face or watch her prance over to you for some loves. Misty loves nice long scratches and rubs on her chest and is always ready to settle down on the couch for a nap and a bit of TV watching with her family. We do require that Misty do not go to a home that has kids under 15 as she does get ... (Read More)overwhelmed by too much going on. Misty gets along fine with other small dogs but big dogs scare her. Misty would do best in a household that has other dogs her size or as an only dog where she can get all the love and attention. She is mostly fine with the cats in her foster home; she will on occasion take offense to them if they are being too pushy, but it is just barking. Misty came from a home in California where the humans were inbreeding and overbreeding the dogs in their home; sadly Misty's dog mom had been bred so many times and was so old that she began to have problems. Misty was stuck in the birth canal for a while darning cutting off her oxygen supply. As a result Misty has a touch of neurological damage from birth; she won't get worse and it does not affect her hardly at all. The worst you will notice is that it can sometimes take her an extra second to process information when she is tired or scared. And she does have a funny little prance when she walks; but it doesn't slow her down at all, it is the only thing she has ever known and she gets around great. Misty is house trained and very easy going. She likes her crate and will often go in on her own just to take a nap; she is very, very easy to live with. She does not enjoy walking on leash, but she does enjoy sitting in the sun in the backyard and she is great in the house. Misty does need a family that will allow her to have quiet time in her crate (her favorite place to nap) and will let her live the quiet, spoiled life she deserves.
