Rescue Me ID: 15-07-07-00200Rosie (female)

Whippet Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Meridian, ID Look at those big brown eyes...how can you refuse this beauty! This sweet, dainty little girl is a gem to have around the house. She is a Whippet/Cattle Dog mix and at 8 years young, she's got a lot of spunk! Rosie is shy at first, but it only took her a few day to show her fun side. She love to chew on her toy, flip it in the air and pounce on it. She will occasionally fetch a ball, but squeaky toys are her thing. Rosie also loves playing in the water with the hose - check out the video to see her playing! Rosie enjoys her daily walks and will remind you when she's ready to go. She walks great on leash, ... (Read More)loves to ride in the car and enjoys belly rubs. Rosie gets along great with her 2 dog mates, but prefers the older dog (he's 11) for company. She doesn't want to play with the younger pup of the group. Rosie would do best in a home with older children or empty-nesters as she tends to shy away from noise and rambunctious kids. Rosie is also kennel-trained and will occasionally go in the kennel to nap or chew on her kong. She sleeps great at night and will sleep where you tell her as long as it's in her person's room. She currently sleeps on a dog bed next to our bed. Rosie really is a gem of a dog. She has great house manners - no chewing, no accidents - and can be left alone in the house without kenneling and does a fun little welcome dance when you get home! She is house-trained, will sit and gently take a cookie and knows to stay when asked. She is very observant and looks to her person to see what's expected of her. Want to meet her? Please go fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you about her: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Rosie is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. There is a $40 adoption fee for Rosie Make sure to check out Rosie playing in the water: http://youtu.be/-liAMIg_Sxg (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-12-00180Mesa (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Mesa is a 5 year old female Poodle mix (maybe with Bichon) who came to Fuzzy Pawz after needing to let her broken pelvis heal. She's now ready to find her forever family! This cutie is a nice girl who gets along great with all people; showing herself to be one fun girl. Mesa is good with kids as long as they don't pull ears, hair or her tail and they must be old enough to know that her previous injury has left her with some residual pain. We require kids over 10 who will understand that they can't rough house with her or give her hugs and will pet her gently. While the vet has said Mesa is now fully healed ... (Read More)she does still have some days that her hips are a little uncomfortable for her. She won't be a long hike dog, but is happy to chase a ball and hang out in the backyard. 1.5 miles for a walk seems to be a good limit at this time. That being said he is high energy (especially at meal time) but is happy to sleep at your feet to watch a movie or just wander around the house after you. She will need regular metal and physical exercise (working on training daily is a great way to help with her energy level). She walks well on a leash if she is some place stimulating like downtown (which she loves); if she is on a standard neighborhood walk she does still pull and will need more work on that. Mesa has been attending a local doggie day camp a few days a week and she's getting good reviews. She plays well with other dogs, and she's been fine with the cats in her foster home. She can be a bit dominant with other dogs but she would be fine in a household with other dogs or cats with a proper introduction. She is house trained, crate trained (although still protests when first put in the crate). She'll need very consistent and persistent training, as she can be quite willful and get tunnel vision for something. However she is very smart and catches on quickly. She has been taught the touch command and that works well to break her concentration when she sees your hand down and waiting. She has also been taught to sit a few feet away from her food dish and wait until she is told she can go to it and eat. She is getting better at sitting at the door, while its open, and waiting until she is told it is 'ok' to go for a walk. Motorcycles and squirrels are the 2 main things that she will bark at, but other than that she isn't a yappy dog. She will need some sort of bed or cushy surface to call her own, so she can rest her hips. Hard surfaces are sometimes uncomfortable for her. She really is a kind-hearted dog who just wants to hang out, chase the occasional tennis ball, & get belly rubs. But please note that Mesa is NOT a little lap dog, she is a fun loving, active girl who wants to do things; she needs an active owner who will exercise her mind/brain and who will continue with her training. Mesa is spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines; weighs 16 pounds. If you are looking for a loyal and fun companion Mesa is the girl for you. All you have to do is please fill out an adoption application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $150 adoption fee for Mesa (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-11-00372Wilbur (male)

Pomeranian    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID Say hey to Wilbur an 8 year old, 12 pound Pomeranian who along with his brother Orville (yes the Wright Brothers) is in search of a new home! Both of these boys were found wandering alone, lost and a bit scared at an airport and taken to the local shelter. A shelter is no place for a senior dog so they came to the Fuzzy Pawz Rescue foster program. Both boys were in nice shape when they were found, a good weight, and coats in good shape; someone obviously cared for them at one time. Sadly they cared for them right in the wrong way and turned them into little dogs who believe that they run not just the house, ... (Read More)their people but the world at large! Wilbur is all about the people; he is pretty good with other dogs but would be more than happy in a home with just himself. We are unsure of how he would be with cats. When he is allowed to just co-exist and doesn't feel he needs to be in charge he is sweet, jolly and is pretty calm. He is not much of a barker and doesn't jump up on you all the time. Both of these handsome Wright brothers can be bossy and will sometimes insist on getting their way. When they first came to us they gave their foster mom a run for her money; they would growl and snap at her whenever she did something they didn't like (like get off the couch). But little did they know that trainer extraordinaire Sharon found the secret to over throwing their kingdom. Seems a little patience, a leash and some treats and their thrones can be over thrown and the people can be in charge once more! They have been on a program now where they are keeping their leashes on when supervised to help them learn good manners with their people. It has worked wonders; they both now seem to get that they aren't the bosses and they are nice little boys who just want to be pet and appreciated! It will be important for whomever adopts either of these to continue this program - both brothers need stability in their lives. This handsome man likes to sit by your feet and take a nap, loves to ride in the car and go for outings. With a little love, some patience and continued work Wilbur will be one amazing dog with some great manner! His foster mom has already seen improvements in just a matter of day. Wilbur does have a collapsing trachea, which is common for Poms; the only thing this does is make him cough and please no pulling on his collar. When going for walks he'd do better with a harness. He is in good physical health other than missing some teeth and he just had a dental. He does have a bit of cloudiness in his eyes (normal for a Pom at his age). He will need a regular grooming routine to keep his coat tangle free, shiny and healthy. (Pretty Paws in Nampa, a Fuzzy Pawz sponsor, will give a 10% discount for his first groom.) A calm, quieter household that can offer structure is best for Wilbur; no kids under 16 please. Wilbur is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to meet him and see if you have what it takes you will need to fill out an application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $50 adoption fee for Wilbur. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Easy going single male, seeks man and/or woman (I like to leave my options open) for a long term relationship - looks not important. My name is Jeffrey. I'm a domestic medium hair, 1.5' tall, with a lean and muscular build. I have been told that I am very nice-looking, sensitive, communicate well, and fun to be with. I feel 5 years old (but I'm not), I'm only about 2 (I just prefer to act more mature). I also act as though I enjoy single life (but I don't); I'm tired of playing games and I'm ready to settle down and have a family of my very own. What I want is to be able to find someone to share those ... (Read More)experiences in life which are best when shared. It would be nice if you were beautiful emotionally. However, the important word is 'sincerity' and a willingness to give 100% in a relationship (as I am). I am pretty quiet and enjoy a sedate life, but I really do love to have friends and family around. I have some cat buds that I currently hang with but am open to meeting new cat friends. Not sure about dogs but in these times I feel I must be open to new things so I'm willing to give it a shot. I hope that we can become more than just friends; I'm really ready to settle down. I am healthy, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If you would like to meet in person you will need to fill out an application with Fuzzy Pawz Rescue to see if you and I might be a match: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ If we are a match there is a $20 fee to take me home with you. Himalayan Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

He may have 9 lives, but none of them should be spent without a family of his own! Jesse is a 2(ish) year old Himalayan mix who found his way to a shelter when his family decided that they no longer wanted him. Fuzzy Pawz couldn't let him sit in a shelter so sad and depressed so we placed him in a foster home. This handsome guy is quiet and reserved; he tends to like to lay around and bathe in the sun. He can be shy when you first meet him, but even then likes to have under his chin scratched. Too much commotion makes him nervous so we are going to say no kids under 12 for him. Jesse does fine with other cats as long as they give him ... (Read More)his space; but no dogs for him - they scare him. He really needs a nice quiet home that will lavish him with love and attention; that will remind him that people are awesome. He needs a home that will give him a bit of time to come out of his shell and regain his confidence; we promise you won't be sorry! Jesse has been declawed in the front (by a previous owner). Rescue Me ID: 15-06-02-00426Albus (male)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATON: Boise, ID Albus is what we like to call 'charmingly nosey'. This adorable 3 year old male, long haired cat is one of those cats who you can't help but smile at when he does silly things; like squeeze himself into a to small box or 'help' you pack. Heck even when he is doing nothing but lying on your homework he's so cute you can't help but grin from ear to ear. This adorable guy is good with most people and will let almost anyone hold him and pet and love on him. Though like most cats there is a limit to his cuddle time; but he is pretty polite about letting you know when enough is enough; a guy has to have his space ... (Read More)after all. Albus has never lived with other animals so we aren't exactly sure how he'd do with them. The few times he met a dog it scared him and he hid; but with patience, the correct introductions and a dog who ignores cats he would probably be fine. Albus would probably also be fine with another cat since he is not overly needy; again though proper introductions are key (sometimes it can take a month or more for 2 cats to gel). All of that being said Albus is ready to give anything a shot for a great family; but his feelings would not be hurt if he was the only cat. Despite the fact that it takes Albus a few days to warm up to a new environment we think he would do well in most any household. We do require not kids under 5 please as Albus needs kids that know not to pull ears, tails or hair. Like all Fuzzy Pawz Rescue cats Albus is to be an indoor only cat for the rest of his life. I am kind of a shy girl but I'm VERY SWEET, I've gained a lot of confidence since I was found but I still prefer calm, quiet people.     FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Mango is a gorgeous orange tabby who is just around a year old. He and his siblings were found as strays when they were about 3 months old; all of his siblings were adopted already but poor Mango is still waiting. This lovely, sweet, gentle boy can be terribly shy when meeting new people and that is keeping people from seeing the true him. We know that if someone would look past his initial shyness that he would blossom in a home of his very own given a week or so. Once he knows you Mano is a doll. He is very gentle with people and really loves daily chin rubs before dinner. He also loves it when you ... (Read More)scratch down his spine to the base of his tail you'd think he'd gone right to heaven! He's pretty cute when you do that; he wraps his long tail back over his spine and stands up on his tippy toes so high that he almost falls over. Once he knows you are his friend he will let you pick him up and hold him for a bit while you scratch his chin. When he's really into the lovefest he will wrap his front legs around you for a hug. Mango does not like it if you reach for the top of his head, he will shy away if you do that, but stick to under the chin and the back and he is in heaven. He's a bit afraid of the vacuum but just make sure there is a cat tree he can climb onto and he's good. Did we mention that Mango loves to play with toys; ping pong balls are his very favorite! You send one rolling across the floor and we are pretty sure he'd be happy all day chasing it. He will start chirping at the ball as he runs all over chasing it it really is just so much fun to watch. He has been around other cats and does just fine; we've never had him around dogs so we are unsure how he would be. However we think if the dog leaves him alone and you give him time to adjust to the dog he would be him. Because Mango is quiet and a bit on the shy side, his new home shouldn't have kids any younger than 12 please. He enjoys the quiet life and would thrive in a soft easy going environment. Someone who wants a quiet gentle companion would be perfect for him. Mango has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
