FOSTER LOCATION: Sandy, UT Hello! My name Peanut. I am a female DSH, dilute calico kitten. I was born around June 20, 2014; when I was about 6 weeks old my brother & I were found hanging by the dumpster. My foster mom named me Peanut because I was so tiny, scared & hungry. It's been just over a month since we came to live in our foster home & I am no longer that 'scared little Peanut by the dumpster'. I am a very sweet & snuggly girl but really - I am a lap cat! One of my favorite things to do is sit in my foster sister's lap while she reads a book. I will purr for hours there if she can sit still that long! I am a kitten so I am very ... Rescue Me ID: 14-08-25-00214Ruffles (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID Hey guys my name is Ruffles; yeah, yeah I know, I teased a lot by the other male dogs about my name but I wear it with pride. I got my name from the young boy in my foster home and I love him so I love the name. I'm a 1 year old cattle dog mixed with a whole lot of handsome and I'm quite the catch despite the silly name. I'm an easy going guy, very laid back and just like to hang with my friends. And boy do I have a lot of friends; humans, dogs, cats I like them all. Well cats scare me a bit if I'm going to be honest. I've found it's easier and way more fun to make friends then not; I don't like ... (Read More)confrontation and cats can be a bit confrontational so I tend to steer clear of them. So far I haven't met a dog or a human I didn't like! But my favorite thing in the whole world is to spend time with people. I admit I tend to be a bit clingly and like to be with my foster family all the time and tend to follow them around. But you know with a guy like me who has been turned loose to fend for myself, then picked up and passed around a bit before winding up at the shelter I just like to know that they are still around and love me. I promise though I'm not a pest and I'm very quiet. I really, really want to live with someone who is home quite a bit and maybe has a fun dog for me to play with. You should also know that I'm a smart boy and am eager to please. I am house trained, pretty good on a leash, have perfect house manners (which is good because those crate things scare me) and I know how to sit. I'm ready, willing and able to learn most anything you want to teach me; just means we get to spend more time together. Oh yeah and my friends over at Fuzzy Pawz wanted me to tell you that I'm neutered, microchipped and current on all my vaccinations. There is a $75 adoption fee to help cover the cost of my vet visit. If you would like to see if we could be best friends let my friends over at Fuzzy Pawz Rescue know by filing this out: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-22-00174Andy (male)

Bichon Frise    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID We'd like you all to meet Andy, an 8 year old purebred Bichon who has had a very rough last 2 years full of neglect; we'd like to fix that by finding him and his sister Dixie (also a purebred Bichon) a home of their very own. You can stop reading right here if you aren't interested in adopting 2 dogs at once; Andy and Dixie are a package deal and must be adopted together. Andy is a lively boy who loves to be around people and has a zest for life. He is a happy go lucky boy who is happy to do whatever his people or his dog friends are up for. Now don't take that to mean he is hyper; he's not, just happy! He ... (Read More)loves it when people make a fuss over him. Andy is very good with other dogs and likes to run around the yard with the others chasing birds and squirrels and barking at anything and everything out the front windows. We have never had Andy around cats but we would guess he would chase them and bark at them like he does the animals in the yard. Dixie and Andy really are the best of friends and spend most of their days sleeping by each other, playing in the yard and hanging out together. Andy sleeps in his crate at night (preferably with Dixie) and is quiet as a mouse. Andy is mostly housetrained, he has the occasional accident and just needs to be let out on a regular basis. Both Andy & Dixie use the dog door when the flap is pinned up, but still haven't figured out the flap down mode thoroughly. He knows to come to his name, sit and stay. Both dogs LOVE regular walks and they are well leash trained. If you approach them with the leash, they both run up to you to be hooked up expecting something fun is in order. They love to ride in the car and make nice passengers. If you are looking for a pair of companions that are easy going, not too much work and full of love then these 2 might just be for you. But be advised that Bichon's must be groomed every 4-5 weeks; if not groomed on a regular basis then they will become matted, which in turn can become painful and makes it so they have to be shaved (this is why Dixie has such a short haircut)! If you can offer Andy & Dixie a loving home with; a fenced yard and lots of love then please fill out an application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Andy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He also recently had a dental done and had about %BD of his teeth pulled. There is a $100 adoption fee for Andy and a $100 adoption fee for Dixie. These fees will contribute towards the vet bill that Fuzzy Pawz Rescue paid for them You can see Dixie's bio here: http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Bichon-Frise-Purebred-23649956#.U_d2HBJsgpU (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-22-00165Dixie (female)

Bichon Frise    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Nampa, ID We'd like you all to meet Dixie, a 5 year old purebred Bichon who has had a very rough last 2 years full of neglect; we'd like to fix that by finding her and her brother Andy (also a purebred Bichon) a home of their very own. You can stop reading right here if you aren't interested in adopting 2 dogs at once; Dixie and Andy are a package deal and must be adopted together. Dixie is a sweet and gentle dog who takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers; but once she does watch out! She will leap up into your lap for pets and scratches and she will greet you with enthusiasm at the door when you return from being ... (Read More)gone. But Dixie is not a needy girl she is a bit independent (other than needing Andy around) and can often be found just off hoarding her toys or taking a nap in a quiet spot. She loves her people and wants to spend a lot of time with them but will not follow you around getting under your feet. Since Dixie is a bit on the shy side she will need to go to a home with kids over 10. Dixie and Andy really are the best of friends and spend most of their days sleeping by each other and hanging out together. Dixie does like to sleep with her people (Andy does better in his crate) at night and will whine for a minute asking you to let her up on the bed with you. However she is a polite girl and will sleep in her crate all night if you want her to (she'd prefer to be crated with Andy). She really doesn't have much to do with the other dogs other than steal toys from her foster siblings and hoard them in her dog bed. No snarling, snapping or other behavior--just toy theft. Drives the others nuts. It's actually pretty funny. It's not that she doesn't like other dogs she just seems to have no use for them other than Andy. We have never seen her around cats; but our guess is that she would be fine as long as she could take their toys. Dixie is crate trained, although she may bark to get out in the night to go potty if you didn't take her out late enough. She is housetrained and both Andy & Dixie use the dog door when the flap is pinned up, but still haven't figured out the flap down mode thoroughly. She knows to come to her name, sit and stay. Both dogs LOVE regular walks and they are well leash trained. If you approach them with the leash, they both run up to you to be hooked up expecting something fun is in order. Rescue Me ID: 14-08-20-00199JJ (male)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bet you can't resist his smile! FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Two years ago JJ was found as a stray, moved in with a lovely senior woman and enjoyed life to the fullest. Sadly his mom developed health issues that didn't allow her to care for this adorable 4 year old Chihuahua any longer. Fuzzy Pawz is now dedicated to finding JJ the perfect forever home. JJ is a very nice boy who loves to be with his person; he loves to sit in your lap or next to you and he likes to be held and cuddled on. JJ has not been socialized very well so he does take a minute or two to make friends with people; but once he does look out, he'll smother you with ... (Read More)kisses. We do require kids 14+ as he has never lived with kids to our knowledge. Sweet, stocky, sturdy and a bit stubborn is how we'd describe this boy. He is very smart and knows 'sit', 'wait', 'follow me', and 'down'. We had been working on 'do your business', not sure if that one has stuck yet or not. He walks on a leash nicely. He even knows to wait to be invited into/out of the house. While he knows all of these things and does them well 90% of the time he does have a stubborn streak and will employ 'selective hearing' from time to time. JJ needs a stable household with someone who can take the time to finish house training him. We are sure he would already be housetrained however there is another dog in his current residence that is not house trained. Some consistent house training work for a few days and this will be taken are of. If you can offer o the life he deserves please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40 to adopt JJ JJ is neutered, vaccinated (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-11-00522Bud (male)

German Wirehaired Pointer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi, my name is Super Bud! Well, I really just go by Bud; however a very sweet little girl named me Super Bud as she thought I looked just like Super Grover from Sesame Street. Perhaps it was because I used my super snuggle powers on her! I am hoping to use my Super Powers to mesmerize a family and find a forever home! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am about 8 months old, yep, not quite done growing yet and I am going to be a tall boy! I'm a whole lotta leg and already weight 77 pounds; but really it's mostly leg and muscle. My Fuzzy Pawz Foster Mom said I am a German Wirehaired Pointer mixed with snuggly cuteness; see ... (Read More)all that totally adorable fuzz on my face. I LOVE people! I follow my Foster Mom everywhere she goes and sneak in extra petting time whenever I can. I live with three other dogs and we all get along great, but sometimes I forget just how big I am and have to be reminded not to run them over during play time. I do admit that I can be a bit shy when I first meet someone knew; but it doesn't take me long to be your very best friend! I am already house trained and working on many other commands. My Foster Mom said I am one smart boy! I have already learned how to sit, work the doggie door and take treats gently. I am doing well with my crate training too. I walk fairly well on a leash, just remember I am still a young boy and might get distracted on occasion. I do have some energy and will need walked/ran every single day and I need to have someone play with me; as long as I get my exercise I'm a happy, content boy. I thrive on praise, so tell me what I am doing well and I will be happy to repeat it! I enjoy going new places with my Foster Mom and meeting all sorts of friendly people. Some of the people are so friendly that I even get treats from them! I want to continue going places and meeting new people with my new family. This foster dog gig is pretty good, but my heart still aches for a family of my very own! Is that you? I am neutered, microchipped and current on all my vaccinations. There is a $40 adoption fee plus the reduced cost of my neuter. If you would like to see my Super Powers in person let my bestest friends over at Fuzzy Pawz Rescue know by filing this out: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ Thanks for reading all about you - hope to smell you later!     FOSTER LOCATION: Caldwell, ID Jasper is a 7 year old male cat that is one of the biggest sweethearts you will ever meet. Sadly his mom moved and didn't take him with her; now a nice lady with severe allergies is caring for him. This handsome boy loves, loves, love people and is great with dogs; he is afraid of other cats so a cat free home or a home with another cat that would give him his space. Mastiff Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

FOSTER LOCATION: Salt Lake City, UT Tug is a 6 year old Mastiff mix and he is the full package! Manners, social skills and a loving personality to boot. This big lug loves human company; he really enjoys just sitting by you so you can pet him and with his super soft coat you won't want to stop! He's good with kids and knows to be gentle with them; though due to his size (100 pounds) we would require kids over 5. This gentle giant just wants to be with his humans no matter what they are doing. He loves to explore outside but minds his human's voice and comes right back when called. Being inside doesn't faze him either; he is ... (Read More)housebroken and does well being left alone with free reign of the house. He is always in a good mood, eager to please and seems to live with a smile on his face. He truly is the perfect roommate even if he won't do the dishes or take out the trash. Tug does well with most other dogs, though can be a bit pushy with some especially around food. He does not do well with cats and will need a cat free home. Tugs tail never stops wagging and he will be sure to fit right into any active home where he can get daily walks and lots of love and attention. Tug is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Rescue Me ID: 14-04-14-00237Chinden (female)

Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Not Good w/ Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Chinden just might break your heart. FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Sweet, shy Chinden came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when some lovely people found her abandoned at a motel. If she hadn't been crying no one would have ever found her. There was a break in the foundation to the maintenance building and Chinden had created a little den between the foundation and the hot water heater. Chinden is a sweet and gentle hearted girl who is a bit shut down and depressed at the moment. She spends much of her time cuddled in her favorite spot looking away from everyone in the room (you know, if I can't see you then surely you can't see me). However ... (Read More)despite this she is so even tempered and gentle that we can take her out of her hiding place and cuddle with her. She is craving affection and attention and if put her on your lap and pet under her chin her eyes relax and she settles right in. If you sit quietly in her room she will come out and explore. A steady, loving forever home will bring her back to her true loving self. She is a very quiet girl and is a total doll; sweet natured and even tempered! Chinden does not like dogs at all and will get a bit crazed at the sight of them; we are guessing she may have been attacked while she was out on her own. She will tolerate the other cat in foster care with her; she does not engage with him but does not go after him either; with a correct introduction into the home we think she would be fine with another cat. She uses her litter box perfectly and we have not seen her scratch on things that are not meant for her. This girl just had a trip to the vet and she is about 3 years old, in great health, has been spayed and vaccinated. Chinden would thrive in a quieter home where someone wanted a sweet, gentle companion; she just need someone to see how wonderful she is and she will pay it back 10 fold. If you are looking for a new best friend please complete an adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is a $10 adoption fee. **Chinden is eligible for our Pets for Patriots program - if you are a veteran let us know! Rescue Me ID: 14-03-05-00263Misty (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Seizures

[Read About Natural Seizure Care] FOSTER LOCATION: Boise, ID Silly, goofy, sweet, gentle those are the words we who know her use to describe Misty the 3 year old Chihuahua mix. This pretty, long legged girl is just a joy to be around with her lopsided grin and her ambling walk. Misty is one of those dogs that just make you smile every time you see her face or watch her prance over to you for some loves. Misty had quite the hard luck life before she came to Fuzzy Pawz, living her life in a small cage. But she has put those demons behind her and is ready to settle down on the couch for a nap and a bit of tv watching with her family. Misty ... (Read More)loves nice long scratches and rubs on her chest! We do require that Misty do not go to a home that has kids under 15 as she does get overwhelmed by too much going on. Misty gets along fine with other small dogs but big dogs scare her. Misty would do best in a household that has other dogs her size or as an only dog where she can get all the love and attention. She is mostly fine with the cats in her foster home; she will on occasion take offense to them if they are being too pushy, but it is just barking. Misty does have a funny little prance when she walks; but it doesn't slow her down at all, it is the only thing she has ever known and she gets around great. And it can sometimes take her an extra second to process information when she is tired or scared. This damage is from neurological damage from birth and it not getting worse - it was from trauma when she was born. Misty is house trained but she can't hold it more than 5-6 hours so she needs to go to a home who can accommodate that. She does not enjoy walking on leash, but she does enjoy sitting in the sun in the backyard and she is great in the house. Misty does need a family that will allow her to have quiet time in her crate (her favorite place to nap) and will let her live the quiet, spoiled life she deserves. She will need a home that has a fenced yard so she can sunbathe to her hearts content. She would love to spend her days sitting in your lap soaking up your love. She really is a playful, happy little girl who has turned lemons into lemonade. If you can offer our little girl the life she should have always had please fill out the adoption application at http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/ There is an adoption fee of $40 to adopt Misty Misty is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped *Misty is eligible for our Pets for Patriots Program **You can see a short video of Misty walking here: http://youtu.be/3NdK4kQbVoo (Less)
